Evans to Memphis?
I don't believe it though but I'll be happy if ever they do take him at #2
"There are whispers the Memphis Grizzlies, who have the second overall pick, could take Memphis guard Tyreke Evans. ... Darren Collison on Jrue Holiday, his teammate at UCLA: "He has so much potential, it's scary.''

I hope this doesn't happen.
Worst case scenario is:
1. Clippers – B. Griffen
2. Memphis – T. Evans
3.OKC – R. Rubio

No way-
OKC drafts Thabeet. Saves them the 10+ million they were ready to give to Tyson Chandler. If this happens (and I’m saying it is going to) the Kings score big time. And I think Evans really works for Memphis on a ton of levels. Local kid, big point or a guy who can shift to the two if Mayo is really being groomed. Also, Evans is more of a slasher where Mayo and Gay are perimeter guys. How does Petrie make a move to land a higher pick with all of this crazy conjecture popping up on a daily basis?

Evans is from PA
Although that’s not necessarily what you meant. By playing at Memphis U, it might help with the locals some. Although, I don’t think Memphis will really do that.

No way OKC passes on Thabeet if he's available
But yes thats a damn bad scenario.

James HArden or DeMar DeRozan are Presti’s guys. Book it. Probably Harden.

I might start to worry about Rubio pulling out if things continue like this.
I know his people have put it out there that he doesn’t want to go to OKC or Memphis but you have to wonder if Rubio might be getting cold feet if other players look like they are leap frogging him in the rankings. I hope that the Kings have made certain guarantees to the Rubio camp or will in the coming weeks and I hope that the instability of no head coach doesn’t frighten his people as well.

There are no rumors saying the Kings are going to take someone else so why would Rubio panic?

In the same light
I haven’t really heard rumors that the Kings ARE picking Rubio.

Why would the Kings put them in a weak negotiating position by saying any specific player is their most sought after player.

Don't worry
After all the notes and hype are released from the Treviso camp Rubio will be back in the mix. He just hasn’t had a chance in the spotlight.

I think BP's right
We forget that Brandon Jennings and Ricky Rubio are waiting until the Treviso camp. So is Patty Mills.

It is all about the posturing
the teams are the buyers the players are the sellers – in the meantime it is a marketing madhouse.

If Evans lives up to his upside....
Memphis could have a scary scary backcourt, with two combo guards…

True...
but keep in mind it’s still the Memphis Grizzlies

I agree with him. Evans is a driver and a guy capable of getting to the FT line. Mayo is an outside jump shooter. The potential fit is very obvious.
I have to write about why I think the Kings should play even more hard to get.
