"The order you're picked is important, it means status, but you have to think about the project and the players of the team who's picking you"
"Memphis has the 2nd pick, but anything can happen"
"There's a chance I'll stay with Joventut, it depends on where I'm picked and final negotiations, but mostly because of the buyout, which my agent is negotiating with Joventut"
"If there isn't a good project I won't go. If I go it'd be to a place where there's some future"

No Longer a fan...
What kind of person get’s picky about the NBA before even entering the NBA? I think Rubio is going to end up hurting his own future. Before coming across this interview, I thought Rubio was ALOT more humble. I’m sure I am going against the grain with this comment but I love hearing others opinions. I’m outside of the box.

My take
The kid is 18 and in a good situation, playing for a successful team and making a lot of money. I don’t think that it is outside the lines for him to determine what is and is not an improvement over his current situation.

I’m sure coming to the NBA is a privilege to Rubio but he still needs to pay a large amount of money to even be able to come here. No kid in the draft needs to pay anything to pay, Rubio does. We are talking about his salary pretty much paying for his buyout. Not crying for him, as he should be goos with endorsements money, but this is not a normal situation.
Napoleon, if you were going to pay to do something you love to do, wouldn’t you at least want it to be a good situation where you can enjoy yourself?

Rubio’s 18. He could play out his contract, not have to pay any kind of buyout, and still come over when he’s 20 and probably more of a sure thing. How can you possibly fault the kid for not being excited about the idea of paying millions to play on a worse team in a worse situation?
He’s got options, and he seems to be either pretty smart or really well advised about what will work best for him.
The draft lottery has reinforced my belief that there are not enough bad words in the English language.

I don't read Spanish
But they way some of this stuff gets worded can easily be taken out of context.
I’m willing to bet that whole article can be summarized this way: I’m assessing my options.

No mistakes in the tango, darling. Not like life. Simple. That's what makes the tango so great. If you make a mistake, and get all tangled up, you just tango on.....
the kind who has to fucking pay to enter the league
and when youre among the youngest players in the draft, any change in the wind could make enough of a difference to change your mind.
