Sam Amick of The Bee notes that while it seems unlikely, there is a path for the Kings to rescue Byron Scott from New Orleans with a buy-out deal that would cost the Kings $2 million for Scott's salary this year, cost Scott $500,000 this year at the expense of a longer-term deal, and save the Hornets $2 million. He also toss this stick of dynamite: "And anyone questioning whether all this chatter is newsworthy, Scott's wandering eye and undeniable desire to become the Kings next coach is the driving force behind it all."
