It's only a blow if it moves up a guy who was on that 23 range wasn't there
Dammit, another topic to write about.

No mistakes in the tango, darling. Not like life. Simple. That's what makes the tango so great. If you make a mistake, and get all tangled up, you just tango on.....
Not sure what you mean
care to clarfy? If you mean he was going to be taken after 23 so it doesn’t matter, then yes, but I think he would have gone before 23. And yes, without him there are less potential talents at 23, so yes, the pool is fewer.
Well it just means that players who might have gone in the 23-30 range
Will now move farther up and be looked at differently by teams who wanted Patterson in the lower teens.

Yep
This is the concern over the next several weeks – how many of these mid to late 1st round guys will go back to school.
SACTOWN ROYALTY - Try our thick creamy shakes!
Some of these guys should stay in
Because it’s not likely that staying in college is going to make them any more likely of a 1st round pick. As stupid and selfish as that sounds, I think that’s it.

Kentucky has a good chance to win the NCAA next season or at least go very far
Good coach. Several players returning. Several great recruits (DeMarcus Cousins, Daniel Orton, …). Potentially even adding John Wall.
It could boost the stock of Patterson, although this year’s big man crop is very thing outside of the top guys (Griffin, Thabeet, …). And scouts and GMs often advise “mediocre” talents that could go late in the first round but are not guaranteed to do so to go back to school for a year. I don’t like it for the draft depth in this one, but I don’t think it’s a bad decision for Patterson.
Absolutely
Graduating from college never hurt anybody.
