2009 StR Community Draft Board: Pick #21
Blake Griffin, Ricky Rubio, Brandon Jennings, Tyreke Evans, Hasheem Thabeet, Stephen Curry, Ty Lawson, James Harden, Jrue Holiday, Demar DeRozan, Jonny Flynn, Jordan Hill, Jeff Teague, DeJuan Blair, Earl Clark, Eric Maynor, Terrence Williams, B.J. Mullens, Tyler Hansbrough and section214's johnson James Johnson are off the board in the first 20 positions on our board.
Reminder: THIS IS NOT A MOCK DRAFT. This is draft board, a list with the order of prospects you'd like to see the Kings pick. In other words, if we were the Kings front office, when our pick came up, we'd take the top name left on our board. So pick your choice, not who you think Petrie or anyone else would choose in a slot.
Explain your choice in the comments, and lobby for who should be added to the next pick's choices. Poll will remain open until 8 AM PDT on Friday.

Why do you lie to me Tom?
It hurts my feelings
Did Danny Green fall off the board
due to lack of votes or a slip of the mind?

The former
unless it was the latter. He’ll be back tomorrow.

I picked Lawal
I know he wont’ come off the board, but I think he could help this team with size, shot blocking and rebounding.

I like Lawal also...
he’s probably my pick at No. 22.

Now that Johnson's (finally) off the board,
I cast my vote for Sergio Clitoris, center, Bangcock.
Hmm, can’t find him on the ballot. OK, I’ll take Gerald Henderson.

Mills
Daye might have the most upside of those remaining – but he also has the greatest bust potential. Mills is the best PG available and has really impressed when it has counted the most like last Sunday in Treviso…

I voted for Henderson
which in immediate retrospect was a mistake as we have no real need for another 2 (although I was a big fan of his, which is very tough for me given my infinite hatred for Duke). Now that I’m thinking I would take Mills. Casspi is also intriguing, but a couple notes paint him as a head-case (Israeli Artest?), which knocks him down in my book. As for Daye, although he has a very nice shot, I really can’t bring myself to selected the slowest and weakest player in the draft.

Don't fall into the trap
Stick with that vote. BPA! BPA!
I voted for Budinger because I completely missed the fact that Henderson was still on the board.

I voted Budinger
Because I’d rather have him than Henderson

G Henderson
seems a lot like a Quinn Buckner type to me – strong defender, good BB IQ, just not comfortable on the offense end but does enough there to keep him on as a second team reserve of value. He is the anti-Maggette.
Budinger – wasn’t too impressed the few times I have seen him play, of the various threads I have read about him this draft and last year when he pulled out – the Brent Barry comparisons seem right on target.

Mills is overrated by many here
I can’t believe he is leading in votes, but then I can’t believe Mullens and Hansbrough were voted in with their spots either. Henderson and Collison should both be ahead of Mills.

Why do you value Collison so highly?
Just curious…and why would you argue that Mills is overrated? This is pick No. 21 after all, dude was a lot higher on mocks a few months ago (Mills was No. 15 by DX at the beginning of March)…

Calathes committed to Greece or something?
Is that the reason for the low votes? Or just not a strong following here?
Really surprised at the Budinger support. I’ve watched him a lot over the last couple of years including a couple in person. He is one of those guys who is better on paper than his actual impact on the game. My sources from Tucson are not thrilled with him either.

Calathes
His commitment to play in Greece cost him my vote. Plenty of good prospects left on the board, so why opt for a guy that’s going overseas for at least a year?
TZ, how about Ellington, D.Brown and Young added to the board? No biggie, since I’ll likely be voting for Gerald Henderson for the next several days.

I think OKC might be willing to use their 2nd 1st round pick on him
Because having him develop a year in Greece might be the perfect way to show hes ready for PT right away after coming back over.

If you're going to add Ellington
you should add Marcus Thornton out of LSU as well…

Grrr
I want my vote back. Meant to pick Collison.
Why is Leo Lyons ignored by all the mocks? Is he really thought of that lowly?
