2009 StR Community Draft Board: Pick #22

Blake Griffin, Ricky Rubio, Brandon Jennings, Tyreke Evans, Hasheem Thabeet, Stephen Curry, Ty Lawson, James Harden, Jrue Holiday, Demar DeRozan, Jonny Flynn, Jordan Hill, Jeff Teague, DeJuan Blair, Earl Clark, Eric Maynor, Terrence Williams, B.J. Mullens, Tyler Hansbrough James Johnson, and Patrick Mills are off the board in the first 21 positions on our board.

Reminder: THIS IS NOT A MOCK DRAFT. This is draft board, a list with the order of prospects you'd like to see the Kings pick. In other words, if we were the Kings front office, when our pick came up, we'd take the top name left on our board. So pick your choice, not who you think Petrie or anyone else would choose in a slot.

Explain your choice in the comments, and lobby for who should be added to the next pick's choices. Poll will remain open until 8 AM PDT on Saturday.

(NOTE: We'll be doing the Draft Board through the next two weekends, too.)

Reminds me a lot of Hedo

and I think he can be better eventually. But ya I’m a loser.

Ah Brother Aykis

You’re the Hedo of StR. You become a prodigy here, get screamed at Matt of Blog a Bull, and eventually end up being blogmaster of Ridiculous Upside.

Yep, that’s Brother Aykis.

Can we just skip the draft

I’m getting tired of all the pre-draft hoopla and well…I’ve been thinking … and I feel we should just skip out on the draft this year completely and resign Bobby Hurley. Dude was a stud, I think he’s still got it in him… Better yet, we should resign Bobby and should hire his bro to be the new coach… talk about a problem solver.

Voting for the name you know matters

I’m not going to vote for Daye at all. I don’t like him, and I don’t like him at all. I don’t want any part of him.

I guess I'm a bit surprised

Gerald Henderson is still around. I think he may be suffering from the negative stigma of a Dukie.

I know coach K only gets guys that work for his system, but GH has a good set of skills.

Yeah, torn between Henderson and Sam Young here.

I think Henderson is still around because he’s a SG/SF not because he’s a Dukie.

I was higher on him before the Tourney

I hate Duke, but a player is a player. He just didn’t impress me in March.

I went Henderson

I have elaborated in yesterday’s poll (#21) as to why, but he knows and plays system basketball, he won’t be a star but he will a solid bench guy. I don’t see anyone else remaining who can do better, with Casspi a maybe but with higher bust potential.

As for Daye – I am with PG – no no no. Stay in school. Get bigger, maturate.

How

can Henderson of fallen this far? The man has is one of the top 3 best perimiter defenders in the draft, has a very good midrange game, plays tough, excellent passer, perfect attitude. The guy is a warrior. He is a bit undersized, but he is super athletic and very stong. He does need a much, much better handle. I think he can be a star in the leauge, he has the passion, the work ethic, competitivness, and the physical tools.

"Just say I'm from Somalia and I need food." - Stephen Jackson, describing his passion for winning
-------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
"I don't know what's wrong with that girl." - Reggie Evans on Pau Gasol.
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
"Because they don't have four pointers."
- Antoine Walker, on why he shoots so many three pointers
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
"They shot the ball well early. What comes out of the microwave hot doesn't always stay hot. I know, because I eat bagels in the morning." - Shaquille O'Neal
---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
"After being treated for a kidney stone, Lakers coach Phil Jackson said "When the anesthesiologist leaned over me, he said "We named your kidney stone Kobe because it's not passing." "

Oh, and welcome to STR

I didn’t actually read your comment. I just saw how long your signature was and instantly decided to ignore you. That’s my problem not yours.
