Rubio will be in the States on Sunday
According to this article from AS ( Spanish newspaper )he will be in the states on Sunday ( written June 13th )
I made a translation from my -not so good- Spanish and an online translator but i think u ll get the picture
Ricky travels today to the United States after stating yesterday on the controversy that maintains with the DKV Joventut. Rubio will visit several American cities to to see them and to know the franchises of the NBA that want his services.
"I try to meet with the leaders, to see the facilities, to visit the cities… But I am not going to train with anybody. There we will study which is the most interesting option. Not yet I have decided if I will stay or not in the Draft", he affirmed during the presentation of the Campus that takes his name and that will be celebrated, from the 19 to the 25 of July, in Sant Miquel of the Camp (Gerona).
On its problem with his team, Ricky was restrictive:
"It is certain that a demand has appeared, but rather is a form to know if the clause is correct in case i leave for the NBA. I do not believe that we re-approach it in any way. A mountain is becoming of a sand grain. I have not made anything bad nor I consider that this affects my image".
Rubio insisted on its future:
"If I remain in Europe, it would not play in another club then DKV".
And on this article from La Marca ( another newspaper ) he said that he has already spoken with Marc Gasol about the Grizzlies :
"I have spoken with him, and he has said to me that it is a good team to go, sure, and all the good things that will come if we play together. That he is a positive aspect, but i have to watch all the teams to see which one i desire"
This report also confirms that he has a ticket on the 13th or 14th of June but he does not know the schedule yet .
Also his buyout is 4.75 mil. Euros ( that's about 6.7 m USD )

Sounds like his buyout is being lowered
That’s part of the reason I’m barely commenting on this stuff. Until I see really new information, there’s just no point. It’s all speculation.
I hope your figures are accurate Greek King.

Or put another way
I hope the translation of the numbers posted was accurate (probably is).

Crap
I mean to say I hope the translation is accurate, and that the number the magazine quoted is accurate (that’s more important).

Your post should change to a different color
if you reply to yourself a certain number of times. Kinda like when a post gets rec’d enough it turns green.

or you could turn it into a verb
so that if you screwed up trying to post the same more than 3 times you could say: “I Pooked”

I think they are
and the spanish newspapers should have that number right …The number was quoted in an article where his laywer is complaining about the fact that DKV used Rubio’s contract buyout as a guarantee for some debts they had to the state . So now they cannot negotiate it . Neither up or down . And he does not like it . The link to the article is here but its in spanish again .
Said Van Gundy about the situation: "(Spanoulis) says, 'I was [Tracy] McGrady back home.' Great. McGrady is McGrady here," ..
Fair enough
Thanks for the info Greek King!

Listen to the subtleties here...
His comments are basically I am going to have to see which Orgs/Cities are the best choice for me.
Hey kid, don’t pull a John Elway on us here. Play for the team that drafts you and be grateful you are going to make millions before you score one basket.
Mark my words, anyone who thinks he is not interested in calling the shots and manipulating this situation to get the best scenario is extremely naive. The fact that he is putting it out there that he has not done anything that should affect his image is very telling…
Perception is strong and sight weak. In strategy it is important to see distant things as if they were close and to take a distanced view of close things.

If I had to pay millions out of my pocket
to play in the nba, especially when I am very far away from a sure thing, I would make damn sure I went to a team that I thought was a good fit. I am not sure if Rubio is the answer or not, but if anyone thinks that this kid is a for sure elite PG in the nba is fooling themselves.
