Matey on this video got me thinking - If the draft goes tits up in terms of getting a point guard, what about a certain free agent known as Allen Iverson? He's not a true PG, but he could do it for us. Pro: He'd sell tickets, score points and win games. He'd take up minutes that could be Beno minutes. He'd be happy wearing #3 again. He has a "never say die" attitude that could rub off on the rest of 'em. He would probably get about $5-6mil a year. Con: He'd take shots away from K-Mart. He's getting old and may not be able to perform for much longer. He'd never be at practice (sorry AI - couldn't resist!). You could argue that he'd mess with our chemistry. I say what chemistry? the chemistry that wins 17 games? please, upset it already! There may be a danger that he plain doesn't want to be in Sacramento - we're not exactly title contenders right now. I don't like AI, but he could be the proverbial shock to the system this team needs. I really think this is worth GP looking at. Why do I now feel like I painted a target on my chest...?
