Warrior Fan who hates the Lakers
What up Kings fans? As you can tell from my headline, I hate the Lakers. I hope I share that in common with a lot of you here. I hate to bring back bad memories, but I don't see how a true Kings fan can ever cheer for the Lakers after '02, unless if you needed them to win against a team you're in playoff contention with. I say the same thing towards my fellow Warrior fans.
Being a resident of Northern Cali myself, I was with you guys back in '02. We had eventual Sac-Town hero for his rookie year, Chris Webber. I was heart broken when he departed. I was a little happy when he came back up north, although it wasn't with the Warriors. And being that I hate the Lakers, I was rooting hard for the Kings to destroy them. As I was watching it, I knew that series had to be fixed. They just finally admit to it last year during game 3 of the Finals (By the way, thank you Boston for straight up ambarrasing the Lakers). I hate how the Lakers can almost always get away with any and everything. I think I'm still in shock how supposedly Bibby's chin fould Kobe's elbow. And back in round 2, if Yao were healthy, I like to think I'm positive that Coach Adelman would have gotten his revenge on those dreadful S.O.B's.
I was wondering if you, as Kings fans, have to deal with anyone who's a Kings fan to start the year, then all of a sudden "cheering" for the Lakers. I told my buddy, who is a diehard Kings fan who lives in Oakland, "I think if you're a true Warriors or Kings fan, you do not cheer for the Lakers. Ever!" He then said "See why I hate '07 bandwagon Warrior fans? Now they're Laker fans." That just irks me.
Now, I think we can all unite and scream "GO MAGIC." Although he wasn't part of their rotation, Scott Pollard got his revenge and his ring over the Lakers last year, and now I'm hoping Hedo can accomplish the same feat this year.

Do you hate the Lakers?
That’s a fairly easy question to solve.
1st Question: Do you like basketball? Yes
2nd Question: Are you a Lakers fans? No
Answer: Inherently you must despise the Lakers.

I feel your pain..
I live in Orange County and there’s more bandwagon fans here than is believable. I think I saw 5 or 6 flags today just on my drive from campus and back (about 10 minutes of total driving). I can’t wait until they lose in the finals…AGAIN, and then shove it in their face.
D12 and Hedo all day!! (well at least for the next two weeks)

Also living in Irvine
The flags are the worst. I actually saw a soccer mom buying two and the gorcery store yesterday. I dont know what bothered me more, the person buying them, or the fact that MY GROCERY STORE was selling the flags.
Wait....Why is everybody clapping? Everyone around me is clapping.... I guess I should be clapping too... GO LAKERS!!! I hate living in So Cal

Was at the Classic Q and no one was into the game cuz they were yapping about work and on their cell phones. Not a lot of gear on peeps save for the yellow snot rags on soccer mom vans. Glad to hear you guys are down here as well.

I hate LA… i think its funny how kobe is compared to lebron… i mean kobe is good but the reffs make him all that much better, all he has to do is scream while dribbling… and there come the wistles… i really hope Orlando beats them…
GO Orlando

I don't hate the Lakers
I don’t really think about them to be quite honest unless I have to. Which is sometimes. I’m still rooting for Orlando becuz Ive been on their wagon all playoffs long. I like watching Orlando play cuz of their players and hence I’ll root for them in the Finals.
Note: I’m an anomaly. Everyone else does hate the Lakers. (I think there has been a petition to not ban me on the ground that I really am a Kings fan first & foremost. I don’t feel like bothering with hate. It’s too much energy and effort.)

LOL…silly pookey.
I love to hate in sports, and normally just teams, not players – although there are always a few individuals or coaches worthy of hatred. Robert Horry, Shaq, Phil Jackson, Tommy Lasorda.
I think I just have an east coast brain in a west coast body. Hate is good in sports, it keeps you passionate.
By the way, to the OP. I hate Warrior fan just slightly less than Laker fan. You seem nice enough, but you can still STFU as far as I’m concerned. :)

I don't have the energy to hate the Lakers I just don't like them very much
and the dubs of today are not the same team I loved as a kid. Cohan/Rowell exist in a parallel NBA universe that actually I do kind of hate.
I was all ready to be anti – Orlando after they punked us in January but it’s hard to stay mad at Dwight for very long and then there’s Hedo and the fans down there have been waiting a long dang time for championship basketball to return then you factor in the enemy of my enemy is my friend and suddenly it’s: I Don’t Hate the Lakers but I’d LOVE to See Them Lose!!!

I don't like LA or Cleveland
and its not just about past history (although that has a bit to do with LA). Its the blatant hyping of a “Kobe v. LeBron” finals with all the advertisements and media speculation throughout the year.
Also the fact that both teams acted so damn entitled throughout the season that they felt anything bad that happened to them was a slight, like Mo Williams not being made an All-Star.
But whatever. I’m rooting for Orlando because they remind me a lot of the Kings of old, in that they play as a team, and nobody single handedly dominates the game, although they have the type of team where almost any one of them can take over a game.

The main thing I hate about the Lakers
is/was Arco Arena sounding like Staples Center this eason. That was maddening.
Lower their expectations and rise to met them

Make me the right hand
because that’s exactly how I felt at the Roaracle. Ticked me off that lots of fellow season ticket holders gave their tickets up and sold out to Laker fans.

Golden Boy, there's something you need to learn about StR
That “team” you’re talking about, we don’t refer to them by name. It’s the equivalent of saying “fuck” in church. Try to keep that in mind next time. Thanks.
