McCants to Celtics?

I just seen this on twitter that McCants might be headed to Celtics?? It would have to be a sign and trade since McCants is a restricted free agent this continues to get more and more interesting on what the Kings might be doing I'm not sure who the Celtics would give up hmm?? Maybe Tony Allen and a bench player?

@Rashadsoze7 Rashad McCants to the Celtics???? from web in reply to Rashadsoze7

Worked with the Celts before, so this makes some sense.

I’d take anything except Scalabrine (unless he’s an expiring, which I will eventually google)

The Kings can still rescind their rights to McCants

and most likely will, thus eliminating his almost $11 million cap hold. It makes more sense for the Kings to do this than try to sign and trade him.

Especially since it's highly unlikely the Kings can find a player they really want on the Celtics back

This just means McCants will be unrestricted as a FA. I think it’s a good move for the C’s though.

Leon Powe?

Injured, yes but he is a Oakland native and a good fit as would Big Baby.

McCants for Powe would be a steal

If Powe’s injury doesn’t affect him long term.

Powe's contract is up, too

The cheaper way for both teams is to let the contracts expire and then just sign them as free agents.

Probably not gonna happen then, eh?

But I would love to see Powe in a Kings uniform. I think he’s a really talented kid who has had some really bad luck.
