Have a nice flight home, Rubio!

Looks like if he is not top 3 or 4, its a no go for him in the NBA because he would have to come out of pocket to play……

Of course

No one mentions the endorsements the kids would get. He’d make more playing for the Knicks at 8 that the Wolves at 5, just because of his marketablity globally. He’ll eb fine, and will play in the NBA this year. Its a good tactic to make teams hesitant to draft him after #3 though.

Jennings

They keep saying Europe killed Jennings stock. I think Jennings through the draft process killed his stock.

Can he pay the buyout with pre-tax money? I mean, if he’s going to make $3.4 million in his rookie year, his actual take home pay from the NBA is going to be like half that. So endorsements definitely do come into play. If he’s going to be as big as some people think and he’s popular with the fans of the team he gets drafted to I could see Nike basically just paying his buyout for him but offering him a pretty good signing bonus, put like $7-$8 million up front that he would then be able to use to clear up his obligations and pay his lawyers.
