I think the Blazers screwed up my Draft contest picks

I had Evans Casspi Brown, but with Portland trading to 22, I think they wany Casspi and knew they’d have to leapfrog us.

Went down pretty smooth yesterday

Right now I’m on 7 Tecate lights. The tequila’s for after the draft, either for celebration or commiseration.

yep.

Tecate is actually the most popular and cheap beer here. Modelo is nice and so is Dos Equis. They actually came out with a Pacifico light over here and I tried it but its not that great.

Sergio is better than Jeff Pendergraph. His three point percentage without heaves was 36% and his passing ability is wonderful on the fast break. If the Kings run, he’s worth more than a second-rounder.

But the Kings need depth, and they need a guy who can do the things Pendergraph can do. That’s why I want him.

This isn’t about talent more or less. I’m going to be pissed that the Kings would consider not drafting Flynn because they have Rodriguez.

Chad Ford's latest
Chad Ford: As we creep closer to the draft here’s a rundown of what’s going down along with our latest 7.3 Mock Draft …

• Looks like the Grizzlies are still searching for a trade partner and if they don’t find it … it will be Hasheem Thabeet.

• The Thunder are sending mixed signals with people in Ricky Rubio’s camp, thinking Rubio is going No. 3 and people in James Harden’s camp thinking Harden is going No. 3. Stephen Curry seems out of the mix. Thabeet is there too if he’s on the board.

• The Kings were debating still among Tyreke Evans, Ricky Rubio and Jonny Flynn … with things leaning Evans’ way at the moment.

• The Wolves were still trying to get to No. 2 to take Thabeet, not Rubio. Memphis wants Evans and Kevin Love if they do the deal. That may be a problem if the Kings take Evans.

With the 4th pick in the 2009 NBA Draft, the Sacramento Kings select Rickeke Flynenningday, point guard from Europe, Memphis, Syracuse, UCLA and Parts Unknown.

I have a handle of Bombay Sapphire, I think its time to start making Martinis.

As far as the trade goes I figured they’d stash the 31st pick via Claver, but who knows maybe theyll get lucky and stash 23. Its not that bad of a trade especially if we end up with a PG who isn’t a PG (Evans).

There now I've met the 75 word count. -pookeyguru

Interesting

Via DX -

Just spoke to Sergio Rodriguez’s agent, Bob Myers. He says he was informed that the trade is done. Portland will likely target Victor Claver at 31, although there is some thought that they could be tempted to take him at 22.

Did Portland move up to 22 to guarantee Claver or Casspi?
