My guess

Flynn will make less. They could have went flynn-rubio. I think they’re trading Rubio, maybe to NY in a multi-team deal.

by Tom Ziller on Jun 25, 2009 6:06 PM PDT up reply actions

very astute.

Also helps explain why NY would pass on Jennings.

by corbin on Jun 25, 2009 6:08 PM PDT up reply actions

Another way to look at it

If you’re keeping Rubio, you want him to be happy (especially with his buyout).

Hard to say.

Months of discussing if we would take

Rubio over Griffin should we get the number one.

If we get the #2 it seemed like a no brainer.

We drop to #4 and speculate if we can trade up to get Rubio.

By the graces of (&() Rubio is available at #4 and we pick a combo guard know for his scoring.

I guess Beno still has a job.

I like Evans but don’t understand this pick at #4.

Even if

Blair had a horrid MRI – with college numbers like his – this late in the draft you’d think someone would take a risk.

Would you spend a 1st round pick on Malik Rose? Because that is what Blair is… Malik Rose

If so...

Would you sign Malik Rose to a 3-year deal at roughly $1M/per with two Team Option years?
