Casspi is so happy he 'cried like a baby'. It means a lot to him, his family and his country. It's 6:30am in Israel now. He hasn't slept. He'll leave for Sacramento tomorrow. 'Sacramento will be a great place to play and develop.' Casspi plans to play in NBA in 2009-10.

Whew
Casspi at least makes sense to me even if he wasn’t my guy.

No mistakes in the tango, darling. Not like life. Simple. That's what makes the tango so great. If you make a mistake, and get all tangled up, you just tango on.....
Who cares
that’s a stupid perception anyway.

Not to mention, he cried like a baby...
Sounds real tough, eh?
Actually, the Casspi pick is the only one of the night that I’m ok with.
I wouldve been ecstatic to get Evans, but Rubio wwouldve had to have been off the board first.

I haven't wanted Evans for a month

Evans is a man. Give him a the ball, he's gonna get to the line
He’s not going to shoot a stupid 3 or drive to the basket and turn it over like beno.
In a few years when this guy develops into something like a dwade kind of player, we’re ognna be very happy we picked him.

I'm loving this pick
and am slowly getting over Evans
We basically got three tough guys. Once again, is this Petrie or Levien?
www.mancancook.net
Petrie's M.O. used to be the tough guys (in the 90s)
Drafted Briant Grant, Michael “The Animal” Smith, Corliss Williamson, Tyus Edney (one of the toughest 5’9" 160lbs you’ll ever see!) and traded softie Walt Williams for the scrappy Sarunas Marciulionis. That was all in about a two, almost three year span.
He knows more than one way to put a team together.

Yeah even though he traded Frank Brickowskis for Sarunas
But, I hope your point still holds.

hmmm...
…that’s right.
So who did they get in exchange for The Wizard? Or did he just walk as a free agent one summer?

I actually like the Casspi pick.
Apparently, the SPurs were rumored to eyeing him and looking for a way to trade into the first round to get him. Given their draft history, we got a good one.
Wonder if we can work something w/ Boston to get Rondo & change for Noc and some pieces?
Rondo/Sergio
Martin/Evans
Casspi/Garcia/Greene
JT/Brockman/Greene
Hawes/JT
"It would be my honor to be your new stepfather."
If we could land Rondo now
I’d be ecstatic. The Kings would be really fucking tough for once.

I like the sound of that.

Another thought
What about a trade that sends Rondo to Minny and somehow gets us Flynn or Rubio, without giving up Evans?
www.mancancook.net
I'd be good with either one.
Rondo is already one of the league’s top-5 PGs. I wouldn’t take Flynn over Rondo.

But it might be a good way to get Minny to part with one of those two
without us giving up Evans

I’m pleasantly surprised that he’ll be coming over right away. He looks physically ready for it and I was hoping the Kings wouldn’t just pick a guy solely because they could stash him overseas for a year or two and save money.

Yeah
I’m excited to see him play.

Dont know much about him
But I like it when I guy has the weight of his whole country on his shoulders.
Should make him give that extra 110 percent.
also
at least we now have a new fanbase in israel
Seriously
having God’s chosen people behind us has to be good for the franchise, right?

I cried too
when we drafted Evans with Rubio still available…
Said Van Gundy about the situation: "(Spanoulis) says, 'I was [Tracy] McGrady back home.' Great. McGrady is McGrady here," ..

in 2 weeks when we all seen evans in the summer league, everyone's going to forget Rubio

Is rubio even going to play in the league next year?
Hope
