2009 StR Community Draft Board: Pick #16

Blake Griffin, Ricky Rubio, Brandon Jennings, Tyreke Evans, Hasheem Thabeet, Stephen Curry, Ty Lawson, James Harden, Jrue Holiday, Demar DeRozan, Jonny Flynn, Jordan Hill, Jeff Teague, DeJuan Blair and Earl Clark are off the board in the first 15 positions on our board.

Reminder: THIS IS NOT A MOCK DRAFT. This is draft board, a list with the order of prospects you'd like to see the Kings pick. In other words, if we were the Kings front office, when our pick came up, we'd take the top name left on our board. So pick your choice, not who you think Petrie or anyone else would choose in a slot.

Explain your choice in the comments, and lobby for who should be added to the next pick's choices. Poll will remain open until 8 AM PDT on Thursday.

Terrence Williams here no doubt

As for future choices to add I think Casspi should make an appearance soon.

Father of the "Natt this!" movement.

I went with James Johnson

A little small for a power forward, but so was Brandon Bass.

Joe

he is the answer !!!!

Said Van Gundy about the situation: "(Spanoulis) says, 'I was [Tracy] McGrady back home.' Great. McGrady is McGrady here," ..

This is the area

I start looking at Mullins.

Lower their expectations and rise to met them

Went with Williams

but don’t feel particularly strongly about anyone here. As for additions, I’d suggest Lawal and Sam Young.

Nick Calathes

Why not? Big guard that can pass, shoot and run an offense. Terrence Williams is pick 16b for me. Very close call.

Kings rule! (They are royalty - right?)

Eh he's free for a year too, as he'll be playing out in Greece.

I can see any cap strapped team taking him to avoid paying money this next year.

There now I've met the 75 word count. -pookeyguru

Maynor

maybe the second coming of Sean Singletary but with he has all around decent stats: height, weight, strength, speed, court sense, experience and age (21 – but birthday is June 11th). He can play right away and seems less of a project (how many projects can the Kings have at one time? #4, probably the #31, Dontè).

I'm not too familiar

with Maynor, what’s his game like?

here are some links

DX Express

from Chad Ford: #17 (Philadelphia)
Eric Maynor
Position: PG
Height: 6-3
Weight: 164
Age: 21
School: VCU
Analysis: With Andre Miller hitting free agency this summer, look for the Sixers to address the point guard position. Lou Williams is nice but not really a lead guard. Maynor would give Philly the total package as one of the most NBA-ready players in the draft.

collegehoopsnet.com

In summation; most NBA ready PG in draft, considered a “pure” PG, concerns about his lack of athletecism, considered a safe PG choice without the explosiveness of a Flynn, Teague or Jennings.

Voted Terrence Williams

After him I’d go Maynor then Mullens.

by rc360 on Jun 3, 2009 6:01 PM PDT reply actions

You'll have that chance to state who you would like to take

I’m sure TZ will make a big board so everybody can state their choices 1 to 35.

bah, the draft process is fluid

today’s must have is tomorrow’s I guess so.

As we inch closer to June 25th the carneys, barkers and sideshows will confuse the circus crowd as they file into the big top.
