Blair has a decent looking jumper.

And his post game seems very advanced for his age. Probably had to learn more moves to deal with being shorter. His bulk helps too. If we got him at 23 it’d be the steal of the draft I think.

I saw the opposite

Blair didn’t look that good to me. Maybe he was dogging it or something, or was tired. He just lacked explosiveness to me. Had a hard time getting around Heytvelt. That’s going to be a major issue for him I believe.

And Pookey

can you give me times in the video for showing Blair not beating Heytvelt? I rewatched it and here’s what I got:

3:06 – Offensive Rebound, post up, kiss of the glass
3:20 – comes to give help D, leaves Heytvelt wide open, but gets a rebound off a miss.
3:30 – again comes to give help D, leaving Heytvelt wide open, but again Heytvelt doesn’t get ball.
3:42 – does a very nice give and go pass
3:47 – sets a pick, gets a pass, does an up and under past Heytvelt.
3:58 – posts up Heytvelt, kicks it to wide open man for 3.
4:09 – effectively stops Heytvelt from shooting in close.

I'd agree

I was impressed with Blair making Heytvelt look bad. I was actually specifically looking at Heytvelt, because I recall being impressed with him during the tourney. At this point, I think it’s clear that Blair is the better prospect (not that I think there was much of a debate before).

And that's exactly what it was

Blair did not look that good to my untrained eye.

I am lost without a key

I can tell who Blair is and Heytvelt. Who is the third shooter from the start? Nice quick release. Who is the guy who looks a little too right handed, especially on the spin move jump shot drill? It is not a smooth style, but the guy with the dark red shoes didn’t miss many shots but he had to look at the ball alot when dribbling, a bad sign.

Blair – played under control, shot well but suprised with the lack of height on his shot that he doesn’t have more arc, not much of a leaper. Heytvelt – slow jumper on the rebound drill, bobbled the inside pass – for whatever that means – nice jump shot, average release.

Did anyone here impress you? Has anyone in any of the workouts impressed you? Is it the video, the content, the four minutes of viewing or just my untrained eye (BINGO!)

+1-

No one has impressed that much- Casspi might be the winner so far. Blair has no lift on his jumper 3-4 inches off the ground isn’t going to cut it for a power player.

I like Casspi because he showed he was able to penetrate the lane and make plays. This last audition wasn’t bad at all from the 4 minute video. Almost the same as Casspi except the ability to create a play with the ball in hand.

so far, for me the most impressive has been Clark.

Black shoes, white socks – Tyler Smith

You should have seen Blair 3 months ago

He’s lost like 50-60 pounds since tourney.
