S&T for David Lee?
What do you guys think of #4 and K9 for Lee? Not sure we would want to part with both bargaining chips like that but it is worth a discussion.

Obviously there would be some complications with a deal like this such as the fact that Lee can not be resigned until after the July moratorium, so the #4 pick would have to be made for NY.
For the record I don’t like the deal and the more I think about it it seems pretty unfeasible, but the idea of a LEE, JT, SHawes front court makes me smile.
With the fourth pick of the draft the kings select...
Not a friggin chance
Hell to the no.

No way!

Go Kings!
This team does not need an aging perennial all star right now
They need a future all star. A Ray Allen type is practically useless at the moment.
Could be had in the draft, could be had in a trade.

No one's giving up a perennial all star that's still in his prime for a #4 pick
You gotta bet on potential.
Ray allen was the big name to be traded for a pick, do I have to spell everything out for you?
With the fourth pick of the draft the kings select...
Just tossed that out there for conversations sake.
There has been no mention of the kings or that trade. I do have to disagree with you guys to a point though. While the #4 pick is valuable, I really don’t see any player available being more useful and able to provide an immediate impact as Lee would. Rubio’s availability would change my mind but we are talking about a player who is proven and fills some needs the kings have such as rebounding, for a pick in a down draft. Everyone seems to think we are going to get an all star with the pick, which is possible but far from definite. And if GP needs to hit a “homerun”
as peaches puts it, than Lee could be that swing.
Other possible deals that make more sense for us but less for NY:
1. #23 and/or #31, K9 for Lee
2. #23and/or #31, Noc for Lee
With the fourth pick of the draft the kings select...
Either of those I'd be willing to do
I especially like that 2nd option. I have no problem essentially handing over Noc’s contract to Lee. Also, pulling off a Noc for Lee trade would be really nice because it allows us to keep K9 who can be a bargaining chip in another trade. The only problem with sending Noc would be that the Knicks would probably want both of our later picks.

The Knicks are looking to dump more salaries they can
and they would end up taking Noc multi-year multi-millionaire contract? Pure fantasy, I think.
I think they’ll try to keep Lee there, without trying to resign Robinson, end of the story.

The Knicks may try to S&T Lee,
but they won’t just give him away. If that were their impulse, they just wouldn’t match offers for him.
Memphis and OKC are in better position to make a play for him if they are so inclined. They can both offer late 1st round picks, and the Knicks wouldn’t have to take back any salary.
