Chad Ford on Brandon Jennings
A really good article on Brandon Jennings; explains a lot about his experience and why he may have skipped the Treviso camp.

Excellent article
Thanks for posting it
One of the many things i got out of it . The scout(s) that had watched him play alot , were very high on him . And the scout(s) that had seen very little of his game , were not convinced yet
Hope Petrie’s team were able to see enough of him
Another thing that caught my eye . Thiers been 4 years college players that couldn’t hack it over there as long as Jennings did . Seems very tough over there for american players , especially for someone with Jennings type of game
What Trajkovic said is far more important to me
Especially the bit about LeBron. I’m sold on Brandon. I want him more than Rubio now. Which if you told me that 2 months ago I would have said your crazy.

Yes , the LeBron comment was major
I also soaked in what Trajikovic said , and wondered if it was alittle biased , after spending so much time with Jennings mayby . But then again Trajikovic is very well respected in his field , so i don’t think he’d lie about Jennings talent . And even if he is alittle biased , that could be percieved as a good thing , like mayby once you get to know Jennings , he’s really a good kid
I was thrilled to hear how hard Jennings was working in pratice , everyday .
I think Jennings is going to work his ass off to be a very good NBA player , because it seems like he’s already got the talent
Hectic
Just watch these youtube clips off my writeup I did on him. Then watch his Italian clips. Then imagine that player converging, and wonder “what if”. That’s the question that every NBA team is nervous about. In a draft like this, Brandon Jennings is the perfect risk.

Ack
Read this. (Just watch the youtube clips if you don’t want to read all that. Don’t blame you. Reading my own crap is frustrating.)

I like that , at this point that should be his nickname
Nice article , read some of it and will come back to it . Some good points in there
Also , agree if it’s Westphal , which it is now . If jennings has a good workout , Westphal could lean more towards Jennings
Yes

Great article!
Nice thing it was posted on Flavio Tranquillo’s site (he’s one of the best basketball journalist in Italy, second only to Federico Buffa).
I still prefer Rubio to Jennings, but I wouldn’t be upset if we would end up with Brandon (or Tyreke). Every other #4 pick out of these guys would get me really upset, instead

Go Kings!
This seems to me as a very sober analysis of Jennings
Especially, compared to couple of games I’ve seen Jennings play in this year.
Ironically, thinking about what describes his game makes him more similar to Jason Williams than Rubio’s game is. On the other hand, Jennings has upside which probably uncomparable to J-Will.
I would still prefer Rubio over Jennings. On the other hand, I would be definitely against trying to trade up for the second pick if it would not be just a simple swap for financial reasons. If Thabeet is to be taken either by Memphis or OKC, I think Kings should be fine with either Rubio or Jennings (or if I can trust you, also with Evans, Holiday…) as they might be potential difference-makers in the league, though in different ways and in different time.

one thing about J-Will
he is/was a high skills player but not overly athletic. He also was uncomfortable driving and ditching.
Jennings is reported to be an impressive athlete and a high skills player.
I am guessing you are referring more to BB IQ and J-Will was not a high IQ individual on the court and less so off. Hopefully the SAT test scores are the only IQ similarities.

Watch any mixtape with Jennings
It will show what kind of athlete he is.

K Pookey, I am curious...
If we stay at 4 versus trading up which we both agree doesn’t pencil, and both Jennings and Rubio are on the board, do you pick Jennings over Rubio?
Perception is strong and sight weak. In strategy it is important to see distant things as if they were close and to take a distanced view of close things.
