I think

I just found my first sig line. I love me some GP sage-ness.

"Sometimes the capriciousness of youth anesthetizes common sense." -Let Geoff's words guide our patience this season.

Great quote.

I knew Geoff was a verbal cat, but this is up there with Douglas’ foundation for a right to privacy, which is “a penumbra that is an emanation” from the Bill of Rights.

Nice!

wonderful quote

I just saw your post, I had highlighted that quote on a different fan post. Once again, I am a day late and a dollar short.

This quote

just made me smarter

Phil Jackson, after treatment for a kidney stone "When the anesthesiologist leaned over me, he said "We named your kidney stone Kobe because it's not passing."

Classic Petrie, yes, but I like the quote best in its full context
“You hope this is a year of growth and maturity for him where he can go from not having played very much to being a contributor of some type,” Petrie said Friday. “He’s a worker. He’s been in this summer for the good part of the last three weeks working out, and he wants to be a player. … Everybody’s been young at some point. Sometimes the capriciousness of youth anesthetizes common sense.”

It’s been a productive summer for Greene, who has added 15 pounds of muscle and now weighs 240. He stayed in Sacramento for all but two weeks of the offseason, working out most mornings with assistant coach Shareef Abdur-Rahim and strength coach Daniel Shapiro. Greene is well aware of what is at stake.

Glad to hear he’s working hard.

Clearly

Petrie appreciates his effort in the weight room, but I did taste a distinct flavor of frustration in this quote. Of course it’s Petrie so it’s subtle and sober, but it’s there.
