I think this is a good deal for the Hornets and I have no idea why Charlotte does it, maybe they are going back to being cheap.

Not confirmed and it could ultimately fall through but interesting swap nonetheless.

Except as a cost saver I don't get this

Why would Charlotte give up a guy who plays 82 games for a guy who plays always injured?

I read a few articles

From what I could gather, Chandler hasn’t been very healthy at all lately, knees and legs-wise. Charlotte is in retool mode, so acquiring a player with 4 less years of contract makes more sense for them if Okafor doesn’t seem to fit the future, and he had a decent year last year, so they are doing the right thing in selling high on him instead of waiting for him to get really unhealthy and be worthless.

Charlotte is circling the drain.

How many different ways can I say that I'm glad that G-Dub is no longer a King?

Honestly

This team seems to have zero identity. At this point I’m convinced that the only preparation they do for the draft is to watch the NCAA Tournament. I’m surprised that they didn’t try to pick the “Dancing Bear” with their second rounder.

I really don't get this for Charlotte

1. If this is a talent trade, Charlotte loses. Chandler’s stats were worse than Okafor’s were last year and HE WAS PLAYING WITH CHRIS PAUL. Let’s see how Chandler does playing with Felton or Augustin.

2. If this is a money trade, Charlotte loses. Okafor and Wallace. Those were the guys in Charlotte. Now expect fans to go see a worse product? Also, Chandler gets paid more money for the next two years than Okafor and has severely less upside.

Really, really don’t get this trade. New Orleans just pulled a fast one on Charlotte in my opinion. Dammit why can’t we do something like this.

We are getting there Aykis

We are finally accumulating some assets that could net us a good player in the future. I don’t think this season is going to be important in terms of record but it will be damn important when it comes to the future direction of this team and the individual players.

The future begins now...
