"The Kings feature a roster full of flawed players."
Good ol' Charlie Rosen at Foxsports projects the Kings to be one of the NBA's seven worst teams. He was right one the money last year. I hate it when he's right.

Pessimistic but not hating
At least not toward the Kings. He really hammers some of the other teams on that list though. I think he gives the Kings the most favorable assessment of the group. The Knicks, on the other hand, he just trashes.

Yeah
It takes lots of skill to predict that the worst team in the NBA last year is going to be one of the worst teams in the NBA this year.

What I can live with:
An entertaining team that hustles, even while earning a lot of ping-pong balls.
I’d rather see a shitload of turnovers on fast breaks than see a lot of so-called" “good possessions” that end with a clanged 2-point shot from 21 feet.
Rocks are free, and slingshots easily stolen.
Wow one of the 7 worst teams
You really outdid yourself on thinking this time Uncle Charlie. Don’t let the ass hit your door on the way out. Wouldn’t want it to splinter again.

Duh
This team sucks. There’s some promising young players and certianly a reason to be optimistic about the future, but for awhile they’re going to struggle.

As long as they show consistent improvement, then I won’t mind if the Kings are one of the worst teams in the NBA.
I just don’t want last year’s disaster.
Oh Charley
New Jersey: The argument is based on Lopez needing to become a good player and Courtney Lee being shocked by a trade? Lopez was already good last season, and Lee played pretty darn well in the playoffs. I’d be amazing if NJ was the worst this season.
Milwaukee: Redd is a “shoot-em-up” scorer? Apparently that’s his translation of an excellent shooter and All-Star. I’ve never been a big Bogut fan, but this glosses over the positive attributes he does have. To write him off as unathletic and nothing more is just lazy journalism.
Sacramento: Honestly, this is probably his most fair analysis, but he still relies on gross generalizations.
Honestly, I’m not even going to breakdown his so-called breakdowns of the remaining teams. It’s a waste of time. This was a story about meeting a word count and taking a dump on easy targets without any real effort.
Never forget: I am a complete idiot
Yep.
Lopez is a legitimate good big man. However, I do think Courtney Lee has to be a little bit surprised and bitter considering his great un-rookie-like playoff performance. With a true star like Devin Harris, NJ cannot be the worst.
I’d say the T-Wolves or Grizzlies will be the worst.

That's all his typical analysis is
He understands the game, but I’m not sure he actually strives to share what he knows. Or, if he does, he does such in a putrid fashion that it is impossible to tell.

He definitely understands the game
He just lets his own personal biases lead him to say stupid and/or ridiculous things far too often. Like Kevin Garnett isn’t a superstar. Or Phil Jackson is even sexier since the hip transplant.
Flawed Players
is what happens when they all are under-10 draft picks, other than Evans.
I agree with Exhibit G, this “analysis” looks like something thrown together while sitting on the toilet playing with your iPhone’s notepad.

Wait
he’s predicting the worst team in the league last year will be one of the 7 worst this year? Wow … that’s going out on a limb, isn’t it?
I predict the Lakers will be in the top 10 teams this year. Aren’t I smart?

I’d risk to put Boston in the top 10 list too…

If this clown is getting paid for this kind of analysis, then I would hold out for a decent offer before adding to that list if I were you!

I agree with the list
The Bobcats might possibly bump one of those teams out of the bottom 7, but I think this is a pretty good list. The only surprise for me is that NJ is ranked dead last. I’d definitely rank them in the bottom 10, but dead last seems a bit low.
It is lazy journalism, but that’s what the offseason is for. As far as Charley Rosen articles go (low bar), this isn’t that bad.
Get more than 17 wins and hustle
and I’ll be happy. Steady improvement year after year . . . but I wonder if that will be enough to start filling some of the empty seats at Arco? I doubt it.

I need a job like that..
getting paid to state the obvious in a way that makes it sound like a revelation? Easy!
I haven’t looked this up (I’m using my mobile), but how many of these teams were actually in the bottom 7 at season end?

He didn't try to make it sound like a revelation.
If anything, he made it seem like those were obviously the 7 worst teams.
Where are the Clippers on that list?
Never overestimate Mike Dunleavy Snr.
Moving at the speed of molasses.
Did he really
call Noc the best player on the team? Really?
And he doesn’t take into account the fact that our two young “turnover prone” bigs were a rookie and a 2nd year player.

Best 2-way player
I think the implication was that Kevin, JT, and Spence play subpar defense.
K-Mart and D....
Perhaps I’m watching the games incorrectly, but what is it with people saying the Martin is a terrible defender? Last year he was, and only because of his injury. Am I wrong in thinking that K-Mart was an okay defender, and improving before last year?

Hoping Kevin can prove him wrong

Ouch. But pretty much on target, both pre- and post-injury.

What roster DOESN'T..
…have a full complement of ‘flawed’ players? There’s no such thing as a perfect player, even LeBron James has weaknesses and flaws in his game.
Come On Rosen!
If we could be sure about PG
uh – and SF
and our young’ins at the 4 and 5 . . . .
we dooo have lots and lots of SFs!
OK, never mind. :) Next season is a mystery to me – but we’ll be there in 114 to see what happens!
