Can somebody explain what’s going on with the Raptors? Are they keeping Marion? Are they shopping Bosh? If they’re going after Turkoglu, are they shopping Bargnani? What’s the deal?

That’s definitely the point. I do think if the Raps do this it does mean that they are trying to keep it together for Bosh as well as Bargnani.

I think Hedo is one guy whom really interested the Blazers most
Now that they’ve lost him, they’re back to making calls and to the drawing board so to speak. Hedo was the easy first choice. Beyond him, I think they have a lot of decisions to make.

Wrong words
I just remembered you didn’t want recs on your FanPosts and usually I don’t rec FanShots that are mainstream news – only when they’re finds either a) I wouldn’t have found/searched for otherwise or b) related to the Kings somehow in a way I had considered adequately. I didn’t mean “drive you crazy,” I guess I meant that it was kind of a front-page headline that didn’t really require a rec. But that’s just me.

I only asked it of those particular 5 for 2 reasons
First, I wasn’t writing them to go back on what I had said earlier about no longer writing fanposts. I wasn’t actually going to even write them (I had the first & second written a year ago before I wrote the other 3 this year) until I saw that was clearly necessary for perspective. Maybe people understand, or maybe they don’t.
Second, I didn’t want anyone else who was writing quality fanposts to lose out because people wanted to “rec” mine instead. They would be as well read as they normally would be. No reason to rec them and have someone lose out. As we saw, it wouldn’t have made a different in all probability anyway, but, that was why.
Before those last 5, I didn’t care all that much whether people rec’d it or not. Sometimes stuff got rec’d, and sometimes not. It really depended on what I wrote and the time I wrote it at. Success is probably a function of time & place more than the person who is “considered” successful.
Anyway, that’s all there is to know. (Well, all I know about it anyway.)

Guess Hedo doesn’t care about winning a championship because he sure as hell won’t win one in Toronto. He at least had a chance in Portland. All for a million more a year? That seems real nitpicky. And obviously his wife wears the pants in the family :P

the Raptors would have (in a month more less) a starting lineup with Calderon, DeRozan, Turkoglu, Bosh and Bargnani….doesn’t sound bad to me

With this “global improvement” I don’t see the Bulls making it, given the fact they lost their best scorer without adding major pieces.

Rose should improve his scoring this year, but having John Salmons as your best scorer probably doesn’t work. Perhaps they do that sign and trade with Detroit for AI after all.

Depth can be had by drafting players every year
Also, you can make quality signings, and you can re-sign a player like Quincy Douby for cheap.
