Don't feel too sorry for the Maloofs
According to ESPN the Kings may be receiving more than $10M in cash from the Leagues.
Now all 30 of those teams will have a $6.8 million shot in the arm. 23 of them will get an additional $2.9 million in luxury tax. And the lowest revenue teams will apparently be getting even more funds than that -- even as player salaries likely get cheaper.

That's good news!
If Petrie has put together a young nucleus that will become competitive and he continues to show restraint on the borderline MLE type of free agents, then the Maloofs will have the extra money when the time comes to start spending big bucks on the extra piece(s) to compete for a title.
When has anyone around here felt sorry for the Maloofs?
