OK comrades, The Two-Minute Hate is over. The nominations are in. And it’s time to put this exceedingly important issue to a vote.
Owing to the large number of insightful (and inciteful) responses, however, it is clear that more than one poll will be needed to answer the pressing and crucially important questions before us. The most immediate question of concern (and the one that led me to my own two minutes of apoplectic spleen venting) is: “Who is our least favorite NBA player of all time?” Certain of our StR compatriots suggested names like Sasha Vujacic and Joakim Noah---worthy candidates, doubtless--- but annoying as they may be, it’s hard to imagine that such players could really compete among the all-time least favorites. Instead, it seems to make more sense to include such players in a follow-up poll that asks the question “Who is your least favorite active NBA player?” Or more appropriately, something along the lines of: “Who is your least favorite active NBA player not named Kobe?”
The response was also quite vigorous on the question of who is our least favorite Sacramento King of all time---clearly an issue unto itself, and therefore worthy of its own poll question. In addition, there seemed to be some rather strongly-held antagonisms toward certain coaches, even those not named Phil. But we can get to those questions in later polls (although you are certainly welcome to address them in the comment thread).
And now, comrades, it’s time to make your innermost basketball antipathies known. So without further ado, please welcome...
