The site was a tough go at first, but I think a lot has to do with how detailed the game is. It’s gotten easier as I’ve gone along, with the help of the guys in chat.

expirings work funny in the game. in real life an expirings contract is up at the end of the season. in this game its up at the beginning of free agency, which is right after the draft. essentially after the seasons over you can trade Shaq’s expiring to someone who really wants immediate cap space and get a lot for it, especially since next year is the summer of Lebron. basically a team could offer some youngsters and picks for shaq and have his contract come off the books almost immediately. it makes expirings worth so much more.
