"I can guard fives (centers)," he said when asked if he could play the center spot in short stretches when needed. "If you're talking Yao Ming, then no. He's just too big...But if you're talking Kendrick Perkins on the floor with KG (Kevin Garnett), and you've got me and Jason Thompson in there, can we guard that? Yeah. You put JT on Kevin, me on Kendrick, or vice versa. It doesn't matter."

BigMay42: out walkin the dog!! it’s 6:30 and still hella hot.
Twitter is awesome.
Hope
I think theres only a few starting centers sean couldnt guard (I’m using a loose definition of guard). Yao’s one, Dwights another, then Bynum, Shaq, Horford, Ilgauskas, Duncan, all of whom are too ig and strong for Sean I think. And actually, Bynum shouldn’t be on that list, May could guard him.

Agree, but...
not sure Horford is too big and strong. Potentially too fast and athletic. Shawn can be too though when he isn’t overweight. Considering both May and Horford are undersized, Shawn might actually have a fighter’s chance of guarding him.
Although, no way May can guard Bynum if Bynum is playing anything like he is capable of. Even if he isn’t, that’s more on Bynum mentally than a testament to May’s D.
I like May
He’s well spoken, honest and repectful. He also makes sense and sounds smart. we need guys like that. In regards to the center spot, this is Spencer’s year to shine. To prove that he deserves an extension w/ his contract. He needs top put it all on the line this season and play heavy minutes. He needs to prove he has the toughness to be a great player. Don’t get me wrong, I really like his game and he’s made huge strides but this is his season.

Well said.
May and Martin need to be the permanent post-game interviewees. Agree with you on Hawes, too. Hopefully Brock and May will bang some toughness into him. That sounded dirtier than intended.
And if not
The FO could put some pressure on him by picking a Center next year, like Cole Aldrich or Donatas Motiejunas (I don’t want anything to do with Aldrich. Motiejunas could be Nowitzki or he could be Tskitishvili)

Shhhhhhhh
I don’t want anything to do with Aldrich

Anyone else here feel awkward...?
May talked at length about his reputation as a human balloon, capable of growing and shrinking with a few hefty breaths during his playing career. To his credit, he couldn’t have been classier chatting about the topic. He’s seen the chatter, heard the critics, knows about all the jokes, and shrugs his burly shoulders at all of it.
I think he’s talking about us.
nope
prove it on the court for a full season

Anybody having trouble with articles disappearing?
Like this one for example. Occasionally when my cursor passes over an article or some other link an entry in the table of contents in the blog will just disappear and become white space. Refreshing the page usually gets it back but it just weird to see entries just disappear when you scroll over them. It’s usally entries that are composed of a block quote.
I get that at work
It’s probably some flash program that’s not installed on the PCs in the office or something…
