Bruce Bowen Retires Having Never Committed a Foul
A miraculous run, really.
(Jokes aside, I would have loved to have Bruce Bowen on our team, if only so that our wings didn't have to risk injury by playing against him.)

In the running for headline of the year
I’d have saved it for Kobe, but hey, if the shoe fits, and it can be slid underneath another player while he’s in the air, then wear it.
Rocks are free, and slingshots easily stolen.

He had a good run
He got to be a starter with a championship team and made the most of his talent. He was probably one of the last guys in the league right now that was fine being the villain.
Finding positives in a 65 loss season since 2009
Good riddence is actually the perfect sentiment
God I hate Bruce Bowen.

Saw this on BDL, where they asked if the Spurs should retire his number
I said yes. I base this on the fact that I hate Bruce Bowen. He’s a dirty defensive stopper with a penchant for nailing some nice threes. However, if you ask me if I’d want him on the Kings you’d get a resounding yes.
Plus, as much as he’s a villain on the court, he’s a class act off the court

The life of an elite defender with limited offensive ability is harsh
to go from core piece of a champion to retired because he couldn’t get a contract anywhere? That’s a fall-off. Ben Wallace comes to mind.
Also, why wasn’t Larry Brown interested?
Victory is tasty.
Yeah, he was a nice role player
…but he was such a dirty player. I’m sure had he been on a team like the Kings, he would have gone relatively unnoticed.
