Sorry about making this a quote, but couldn't get the fanpost to accept it as a link.

It’s basically and article in which Charlie Rosen breaks down Omri and Tyreke’s strengths and weaknesses based on the Denver game.

bad computer day, today.

Should be fanshot not fanpost and Charley Rosen instead of Charlie Rosen

I disagree with his assessment of Tyreke's defense

Maybe it wasn’t his best game, but isn’t D one of his biggest strengths?

Everytime you try to analyze what a rookie can or can't do

after watching one game, you’re going to fail.

Apparently Casspi is soft, and Tyreke is an awful defender. That tells you all you need to know.

Thats nails it I think

Clearly a one game analysis which is a foolish waste of print. Of course, Omri does need to get stronger and I’m pretty sure he knows it and he and Thorpe will get right on it in the summer.

Yes

I think he has some good stuff to say, but it’s just one game. I also thought it was a waste of print.

Casspi looked really tired the last two games

Glad he has two days off to relish the win and relax a bit.

Did you listen to Cisco's comments when he was with Peaches and JR?

He said something along those lines too. He says that Casspi has looked tired lately but he has encouraged him to keep shooting and keep doing his thing. I definitely think he’s hitting the rookie wall in terms of endurance, but I think he’ll get over it soon. I agree that these two days are really going to help.

It will actually help then win Kev and Cisco get back,

rather than hurt. Some of these guys need a rest.

Good point

I think the effectiveness of the players could really improve with a bit less minutes. This is all on paper of course, only days ’til Speed comes back

I somewhat agree about Evan's defense but ....

was that billups 3 pointer really uncontested? I would have liked it if evans did not go under that screen but he seemed to recover well and dear lord that was a crazy fading backwards shot by billups (is that a shot you really expect Billups to make? Really?). Kinda get the feeling that if Billups missed that shot, Charlie Rosen would be praising Evans for his defense there.

That Billups 3 was defended very well

It was so crazy of a shot I felt sick when it went in.

Yeah I think that is only appropriate response to a shot like that. I thought it had no chance when I saw his body contort like that. It’s actually kind of amazing that Billup’s three got completely overshadowed in the end. It was an amazing shot.

Imagine if he based Ike diogu on his last two games of the season last year…

Soft, according to Rosen. What a DB

A rookie drafted 23

ranked 1-3 in every poll.

I say we give him another day or two to finish polishing his game. :)

A.I.? WTF? Really?

I kind of see Tyreke as a slightly smaller version of LeBron.

A.I. is about the worst comparison I can think of. A.I. realies on quickness an blows by guys. If he runs into contact, he bounced off and faded away with the foul and he could hit the shot.

Tyreke is a physical beast. When he runs into guys, they are the ones that bounce off ala LeBron.

The defensive criticism was ridiculous. It might have been part of the Kings strategy to allow Billups to shoot from distance. He has been horrid this season shooting is at one of the lowest %‘s of his career. Perhaps Rosen didn’t see the pick Tyeke had on Gilbert Arenas? Evans might also still be nursing that ankle and that would definately keep him from staying close as a defender. I agree on the offensive part with the tendency to over-dribble though.

Way to pick one of Casspi’s worst games though. What a joke. Of course he is physically outmatched by Joey Graham at this point in his career. Graham is only in the league because he is a big, physical athlete. He can probably outmuscle about 3/4 of the small forwards in the league because that is his only purpose out there. He is also a 27-year-old against a 21-year-old.

I love this quote: “Casspi lacks the strength to be a consistent finisher” Really? I guess you haven’t seen any number of dunks this year on the break where he threw it down over guys.

Bullshit like this ruins my morning cup of coffee.

I doubt the Kings strategy was to let Billups shoot a 3

He’s a great 3 point shooter and had been hitting on all cylinders that night.

On the other hand -

An off balance 28 footer is not a high percentage shot.
