VERY disappointed in the PS3 stream. It is just horrible quality. I don't even use it. Just hook my laptop up to the TV...

My PS3 stream's been pretty good...
…but then again I push upwards of 15-20 mbps with my connection according to speedtest.net
Wha???
Damn, I was looking forward to that…think they will add it down the road?

It's not an HD enabled device.
No HDMI ports or even component a/v.

Rec'd for stating something really, really, really obvious?
Megan Fox is more attractive than Kathy Bates. Rec me.

They should just get rid of letterman....
and air Leno and Conan simultaneously. Letterman’s terrible.
I'm assuming
This means the NBA’s involvement in the Cal Expo proposal is dead.
Either way, this is positive news. Well, until we find out how the financing would theoretically work.

Coincidence? I think not
The future begins now...
Kevin worked out a deal for an arena while injured?

I think it was probably Brock

Can I grinch this?
the Maloof’s bailed on the last proposal over what? Not enough parking spots for them to overcharge for?
What will be different here? The city doesn’t want to build massive parking lots in that area, its going to be mix use and urban.
What will be different here? Stern gonna step on their balls?

Me as well
I was prepared to vote for it until that happened. Especially why they got petty. A parking structure? Really? In Downtown? I can’t even begin to understand why they thought a parking lot was going to happen by the railyards.

They bailed on that proposal cuz it was crap
Cost twice as much money, halved their revenue, and no guarantee on taxpayer cost
it amazes me
how difficult this all is… Other cities seem to have done this, why can’t we?
If the Maloofs want mor parking, but the city thinks it’s an eyesore, umm could we build an underground lot? I just don’t get it.
Who doesn’t think that over the course of the next 20 years an investor is going to make his money back three times over?
Section214 is my hero. Good shakes!
I doubt Stern's going to step on their balls
I can’t imagine the NBA would be involved in a plan without the Maloof’s approval – Stern’s really working for them IMO.

What ever happened to public transport?
Instead of a massive, eyesore parking garage the Maloofs could overcharge for, what if they were involved in a light rail system, and got a cut off of that? Could they make money on an extra fee to go to the arena from a Sacramento Municipal Public Transport Hub?
Another flaw in the human character is that everybody wants to build and nobody wants to do maintenance. Vonnegut

I don't care for the idea of money for fares on an underfunded RT going into the Maloof's pockets
The bottom line is still this:
Will the Maloofs make a giant pile of money from any arena deal?
Or will they make a slightly smaller giant pile of money from any arena deal?
They make out like bandits no matter what, or where an arena is built. Are they willing to not turn every lost dime into a reason to sabotage the proposal this time?
I HOPE SO.

I'm all about the railyards
For reasons I’ve repeated too many times. Location, development already planned and therefore money already in the loop, infrastructure plans (roads, parking) already in the loop,Clean slate site, (nothing has to be torn down). Possible availability of Federal Stimulus funds at least for some items (infrastructure again).
Benefit to downtown business, increasing SACs attractiveness to new corporate business. Just using the railyard site in a constructive, profitable way. I could go on.

I'm not 100% sure that there will have to be any vote this time
I do believe that there are other funding sources out there, even using public money, that won’t require a public vote. Or, maybe they could at least limit the vote to Sac city limits somehow, which would probably change the dynamic a lot.
In any case, it’s a different captain steering the ship this time and a different set of circumstances, so I’m currently still cautiously optimistic.

Hard to fathom
There is a very vocal contingent of Sacramentans keeping an eye on this thing – and the local politicians (Dave Jones, anyone?) are certainly going to be hearing from them.
I wish I had your optimism, I really do – but there’s not exactly a ton of money sitting around in Sacramento waiting to be appropriated for this kind of project.
