Around SBN: Despite Relocation Drama, Coyotes Overcome Adversity

Quick Question...

This may have been covered in another thread, but I am both too lazy and too dimwitted to find it, so I am going to apologize in advance.

I am trying to take the family to a Kings game, and I wanted to take advantage of a family pack/KHTK deal.

However, when I go to order the 4 tickets, I get hit with a whole mess of fees. For example, when I order a upper bowl ticket for $11.40, I also get the pleasure of paying a $2.50 facility charge and a $4.75 convenience charge. And, if I choose to print the tickets out at home rather than take my chances with the US Post Office, I get hit with another $2.50 charge.

When you add this up, it essentially doubles the cost the tickets from roughly $45 to $90, which seems crazy to me. Is this really the only way to buy a ticket? I want to support the team, but I really feel like I am being taken advantage of. I am hoping there is a better way to get a ticket. Please let me know what to do.

Thanks in advance.

I could be mistaken

But I think you can save on some of the BS fees if you buy at the box office. Call first, I may be wrong.

Unless it’s completely inconvenient to make an extra trip out there, then to hell with it.

I believe you're correct, buying at the box office will avoid all the fees except for the $2.50 facility fee

The facilities fee is charged on line and at the box office.

the convenience fee is the fee Ticket masters charges for on line purchases. Unless you can get to the box office at least a week before the game, don’t count on any of the cheap seats to be available on game day. Many people including myself have decided to buy tickets on game day only to find only $70 or more expensive ticket to be available. All the lower area tickets are $70 or more and even some off the upperdeck. The actually number of $40 or less tickets to any game is limited. I don’t know what the actual percentage of the total seats in the upper deck are, but I would guess less than 30%, and some of them are season ticket holders.

They let you go to the box office free of charge.

You have to go through a specific entrance (which one I never know) to go to the box office to attempt to buy tickets.

East entrance off Truxel is the entrance.

cheapest tickets i ever got

were from a scalper. We got lower bowl seats for $10 each. I think that’s the way to go and then just hit the box office if you fail to find a scalper.

Brockman deal....

The Kings are still offering the Brockman deal for tomorrow nights contest against the Suns. Its more expensive but you can get 2- $79.50 lower bowl tickets and a Brockness Monster T-shirt for $80 total- so 4 would cost $160 and there are no service fees at all. Way better than $90 for 4- $10 tickets.

No, I don’t work for the Kings but this deal is way too good to pass on. I keep buying tickets during games because the deals are spectacular. Kudos to the marketing staff for listening to the masses.

And done.

Thanks for sharing that info jj. I shall now be at the game tomorrow with my dad, and now I’ll have my very own Brock Ness Monster T-Shirt. Its fitting.

I will walk down to the court with you and help get it signed.

Maybe we can get Jerry to help since you are one of the originators. Then again, Brockman might sign the whole stack- I think he is that kind of guy. See you there, feel free to e-mail me to exchange info so we can say hello.
