This whole article is "ouch."
And credit the Kings fans with getting very excited every time Evans touched the ball, goading him into ever worse shots.

Now I don't feel so bad for missing this game
Except that I missed a window into the future: a dominant Spencer Hawes on both ends of the floor!
Screw you Knicks! LBJ to the Kings!!!
He was worth seeing
not much else besides he and Beno looked that great, especially down the stretch.

My two cents...
I know that Tyreke is missing a lot of shots down the stretch in games, partly because defenses are adjusting to him driving the lane, but it seems like after half a season of this, he’d start to make adjustments himself. Like passing out of the paint occasionally. Or not taking his patented off-balance fade-away long jumper until he becomes a more consistent shooter. You seen his 3pt% lately? Ick.
This game was closer than it needed to be because we stopped playing team ball. Beno was bringing the ball up the court at the end of the game and it appeared he was deliberately keeping it away from Evans, but when you’re determined to not pass it to one guy, you run out of options and wind up taking a bad shot yourself.
Maybe Westphal needs to have a few set plays to call in situations like this to keep guys from playing so selfishly in crunch time.
