ARCO Arena at 80% of Capacity for Kings' Home Opener
The Kings just sent a release noting that 3,400 tickets for the November 1 home opener against the Toronto Raptors remain unsold. That means ARCO Arena is at 80% capacity for the opener as of today. The release also announced that there are about 150 $10 tickets remaining.
The best way to show the elected officials of the Sacramento area and the Maloofs that the fans of the region really, really, really love having a local NBA franchise is by filling up ARCO. No better chance than in the home opener, especially considering the Kings start on the road with three winnable games and that the Raptors game could dovetail beautifully into nationally televised game against the Lakers on Wednesday, November 3.
You can buy tickets for the home opener and all games at Kings.com.

Screw it I'm skipping class.
Never been to a home opener before.

Last year vs. Memphis was a good one
I believe that was the game where Spencer hit Beno for a couple layups on pick and rolls to seal it late and Kmart had 48 points.
I was there, but my memory is a little fuzzy. Since I was also at the game vs. the Wizards where Tyreke stole the ball from Arenas, the OT game vs. Cleveland (damn you and your threes, big Z!), and the OT game vs. the Lakers (got to go on the court and high five the Kings before that one), thinking all the way back to the home opener is kinda difficult. I also went to Kmart’s big game with a broken hand against the Warriors…man, I went to quite a few games last season.
You should go Aykis!

I remember the Wizards game very clearly
Especially the drunk guy who kept asking where Peja was.

Yeah screw class. You don't NEED to go to class to learn [insert subject matter]
After all…HOME OPENER!
I hope we sell this game out. I hope even more that the nationally-televised game two nights later has more Kings fans than [redacted] fans.
It's amazing how many people stay away from the Raptors.
The Rockets v Raptors home game in Houston was a ghost town.

My new seats this season
are in section 23 or 215 (can’t remember), so either way looks like I’m getting some free beer. Thanks section!

Sections call to freedom made me thing of him standing next to Mel Gibson in a kilt. Not a pretty sight. I Just got two tickets in section214! I have never been to a home opener and am excited as hell.

I have been a kings fan for over a decade already and I am so jealous that you guys live in Sacramento…….. You guys are so lucky
I'm a devoted fan from Connecticut
don;t ask why, just am. I applied to every job opening the Kings have offered. I would go to every game if I lived out in Sac-town.
Really difficult...
to make the jump to get tickets. Already have tix for some games this season and its just too hard to spend 45-50 bucks on upper level tix to see the Raptors. Its too bad their season opener isn’t against a more exciting opponent.
Agreed re: the opponent
You can get in and out on $34 or $34.50 (damn Ticketmaster) including parking, two $10 tickets and the fees. As cheap as it gets without free tickets.
The $10 seats really aren’t bad, unless you’re trapped with cheap Lakers fans. No chance of that against the starless Raps.
The Raptors game is definately a winnable one,
but I hope the Kings play them better than they did in Summer League.
I bought 2 tickets to the home opener last night.
Definitely looking forward to it! I’ve never been to the first home game of the season before. It should be pretty awesome.
I think a lot of people might end up buying tickets depending on how the Kings start the road trip.

I agree and I think it is still early to be this close to a sell-out.

Especially when you factor in the opponent.

I wish I could go :(
But I have a night class on Mondays and really can’t miss it since I already have and it’s only once a week. I also live roughly 90 minutes away from Sac, so it would be a lot of driving AND I have class at 8am on Tuesdays and Thursdays so yeah…bummer. Plus, its Toronto. I can’t wait to go to some games this year but I’m afraid it’ll have to either be weekend games or winter-break games.
