Kevin Love, zero rebounds in the 2nd half
The Kings did a great job of getting him under control. Tolliver went nuts, but that’s ok because they stopped Love from putting up a vintage KG type of statline.
Greene did a great job going in a battling for boards on both ends, an awesome sign if he keeps that effort up all season.

Seriously
If the Wolves are gonna keep it close, at least let it be with Love and not Tolliver.
Just ridiculous that he barely played at all in the 2nd half. He’s your best player Rambis. On a lottery team. Use him.

But seriously, Love has such great court awareness; it would open the offense up more for the Minnies. seems like it’d make the game easier for the rest of the team.

Shockingly bad
coaching, I think. Especially in a close game, lets keep the guy who dominated underneath and hit a three pointed on the bench. All Kings fans can say is thanks.
He needs to make sure Love knows his role.

Team W
Beno, Cisco, Cousins, and Head all with very good games.
I like the way the SF position was handled:
Donte – 26 mins, 6 pts, 7 boards, 2 assist, 1 block (bad FG% and FT% thought)
Omri – 20 mins, 10 pts, 4 boards, 1 assist, 1 steal, and one big dunk off a great pass from Beno
I think this is a bit of what the coaching staff envisions for the SF spot. Also, Dont eplayed more minutes but Omri finished the game. Great balance there.
Now let’s win one (or two!) more in this roadtrip
"Children want what they want when they want it." ... Andy Sims

A mostly solid performance
Cousins and Landry had good games against guys that can play a little bit. Garcia, Beno and Head played well, and Casspi brought heat off the bench. Double bonus for an opening night road win, even in Minnesota.
As opening road trips go, the schedule is as kind as it could be.
Kevin Love? If he’s open, you are BONED. And young Wes? That kid is going to do well, the athleticism is ridiculous. Given their roster, that was the smart pick.
And I’m glad of that, you know, beCousins…

I figure
since the lottery has screwed us the last two years that this year we will be one of the teams in the lottery with a better record (though I’d still prefer playoffs) and get the #1 overall pick. Karma comes back around
If I was in a room with Bin Laden, Hitler, and Robert Horry and I had a gun with two bullets...I'd shoot Robert Horry twice
Donte free throw shooting
puts Casppi in at the end of close games
There are some guys smarter than me, some guys better looking, I take comfort in the fact that there is no guy that is both.
Yep, and his D on Beasley and rebounding, got him his 26 minutes.
He was only 1-4 from 3, and 0-3 with 2 shots blocked from 2pt range, but he’s too good of a shooter for that to be perminent.
"If you don't have anything good to say, LIE" - Mom

I think the best he is going to be is an ok shooter
But if he focuses on D and board like he did tonight, he will get minutes.
Again, I will be the happiest guy in the world if I’m wrong.
There are some guys smarter than me, some guys better looking, I take comfort in the fact that there is no guy that is both.
All of his 3pt misses rattled out, but I have no clue as to why he misses FT's
His stroke is really too good for him to miss that badly. I’m going with the added muscle had affected his touch like it did JT. It’s going to take a while to get use to it, but he can be a 40% shooter from outside and 75% from the line.
Last seasons 37.7% from beyond the arc was only 2nd to Garcia’s 39%.
"If you don't have anything good to say, LIE" - Mom

I liked that he kept away from the hoop for the most part and did what Ziller said he should, shoot contested jumpers
Beasley was only effective in that one stretch when he started taking it to the basket.
Author of the Pick and Scroll. Follow me on Twitter here.
I thought it was telling
that at some point Beasley hit a couple back to back baskets in the second and PW subbed Donte in.
And also, most of his missed shots were ones you want him taking: assisted 3s. No excuse for the FTs but I thought he brought more positives than negatives.
"Children want what they want when they want it." ... Andy Sims
Yes, Beasley only got 5 pts in the 1st half and all 5 came against Omri.
that’s when PW took Omri out and brought Donte back in. And, if Greene had been hitting his FT’s, I’m not sure who would have finished the game. Although I suspect that it still would have been Omri.

it’s kind of amazing that he was so available, and even a bubble player for this roster. I know it’s just one game, and it’s not like he set the world on fire, but he’s so obviously a legit NBA player. We didn’t really have anyone to break down the defense, had to hope our shots fell, which luckily they did. If we can combine the great ball movement tonight with Evans, I like our chances to have a noticeable improvement this year.
