I guessed right! I love being a winner

I put this up
because I think that it will be interesting to see what happens as the Kings get to full strength. If Francisco Garcia is going to play anything close to how he has for the first two games, he becomes the spark off the bench that was to be Omri Casspi, unless Garcia himself becomes the starting 3. Either way, the role of starting 3 and bench spark plug will be filled, leaving only the occasional defensive specialist role, which could leave Greene perhaps even battling Antoine Wright for that opportunity.
This is awfully early to try to draw a determination, but it is certainly not too early to begin wondering how this will eventually play out.

unless Garcia himself becomes the starting 3.
That seems like a viable option, at this point. Not one I would oppose to, either.

I think he is too valuable as a back-up 2/3.
Garcia has specifically said that he is a natural two who can play the three. He is also the thrid cog in the backcourt with Head picking up the scaps. I just don;t see Westphal weakening his backcourt rotation when he has 3 or 4 other options at the small.

After going 2-13 from 3pt range in the first half Garcia was the natural choice at the 3
because he had already hit some 3’s. While Donte with 1-4 and Omri with 0-6, haven’t been hitting the outside shot. But, any coach will tell you that you have to let your shooters shot when there in a slump. So, I expect Omri and Donte to see more time at the 3.
I don’t believe that Omri won the starting job based on his or Donte’s performance in the Minny game. And, after PW stated repeatedly that he likes Omri off the bench, I don’t have a good idea why Donte got so little time. But, as Zen pointed out below, Donte played well in his short appearance.
So, at this point I have no faith in what PW says and no idea what he’s thinking. All we have heard is how big we’ve gotten, and yet he goes small at the end of the game. And, we’re not getting the ball in deep to our bigs. What I do know is that Omri hasn’t been the defensive stopper that PW said he wanted the 3 to be.

Donte was one of the few players at the end of the half
that helped to make the come back.
It’s just Westphal testing things as always.
Btw
Since we already have a Donte Greene poll, you should make the same one for Thompson because of Jackon’s play :p
A JT poll could definitely be on the horizon, especially if Jackson continues to progress
But my bet is that JT will continue to see minutes due to fouls and/or injuries up front. If Casspi gets half the minutes at SF, and the other half are gobbled up by Garcia and perhaps even Carl Landry (in some instances), you will only see Donté cheerleading from the end of the bench.
Again, this is small-sample-size-conjecture, but if Donté is going to claim serious minutes for himself, he better get to it, or we’ll soon be looking at Spencer Hawes, v2.0.

Agree on Donte and JT, and very frustrated.
Perhaps these guys are not going to ever get it. JT, in my mind, is at the point where he has to get it and get better or he well always just be an average to decent bench player. Donte, perhaps, has a bit more time, but bummed to see these two be so underwhelming.
Jackson looked really solid last night.
Is he a sophmore this year.
Might as well be his 2nd year though.
He only played 122 minutes last year and had 23 points total. He’s at 34 minutes and 14 points already this year.

Hard for me to forget
DG’s game against the Knicks last year when he frustrated Harrington and had 24 pts, 6 blocks, 4 boards, and 5 assists
If he can just channel the passion he played with that game instead of losing focus
