Here's something about Donte.

You know, I’m frustrated with the whole situation, but my god, he’s a phenomenal teammate. A guy who could (and probably should) be playing that sits on the bench the entire game tends to get sour. Not Donte. He’s jumping around and the first to greet the guys on the court during the timeouts. How great is that?

Defense

has been stellar in the second half of each game. By team play I meant multiple players have stepped up and made a big shot such as DMC, Casspi, Beno, Reke, Landry etc…you can’t just point to one player and say he did it all. Team effort. Like the balanced scoring as well.

AWESOME GAME!

Omri, DMC and Tyreke are the magnificent three!!! Our PG SF and C spots are on lock down for decade! I love how early in all three careers they all shown tremendous clutch performance ability. Omri Bombri. Rekn’ Havoc. And Cuz Because. It is rare for a rookie big to be quiet and in foul trouble most of the game and then make big plays in the crunch like Cuz. Shows great poise and patience in the key. Love the enthusiasm too!!!

Good News: The Redacted play tomorrow at home v. Grizzlies so we catch them on back to back.

Question for you guys: Should we start Sammy D on Wednesday to:

(1) Set defensive tone.
(2) Avoid early foul trouble on DMC.

Then bring in DMC as first man off bench at 6:00 or 5:00 minute mark??? I am thinking this is the way to go. PW will have to ponder this next 24 hours to try to do something about these slow starts.

I predict JT puts up 7/5 this year.

I actually like the idea of starting Dalembert

They’re both going to get 20-24 mpg. But with DeMarcus coming off the bench he’ll get a chance to see how the refs are calling the game and hopefully adjust to it. Plus Cuz will see more time against Ratliff than Gasol, with Bynum still inactive.

And, I like the idea of having Cousins available at the end of games, in case we need his scoring. If we don’t then he can concentrate on rebounding. So, hopefully, coming off the bench he can stay out of foul trouble.

Now the real question is how are we going to defend Odom, who’s averaging 16pts and 14 rebs.

i'd like to see it at least for a couple games

edm7 brought this up the other day. he made the point that Cuz will still get the same minutes. i think it allows him to develop for a little bit against 2nd teamers, really a no-lose situation

Agree

Could be PW is waiting on Sammy D conditioning and timing more than anything else. I think we will see the switch next game.

I predict JT puts up 7/5 this year.

yep

Sammy could start and DMC is definitely a finisher. i think PW knows this and you could be right about next game

We will see

a lot of the defense-offense substitution at end of games too, when undecided. They are both finishers, just on different ends of the court.

I predict JT puts up 7/5 this year.

It was SOOO loud and packed. I loved it. My throat hurts for yelling so much.

But it was well worth it to walk by the court after the game and yelled Peaches to Grant Napear while he was doing the end game anaylsis.

might be my first post here/ cant remember

caught the 2nd half. lot of fun to watch. amazing what a difference Tyreke makes. I mean, I knew he did. but tonight it was so very evident to see how much havoc he Rekes on the opposing D

No one has said this before

that I have at least heard or post, but Tyreke is noticeably faster to me this year. I noticed it first in the pre-season. When he gets the ball in transition and pushes it he has a gear he did not have last year. Anyone see this?

I do recall Tyreke’s trainer said this was one of his off-season goals. Mission accomplished. Last year he was more about the change of direction. Now he can change direction and blow by defenders. He must have incorporated sprints and perhaps plyometric drills because dude can turn on the jets.

I predict JT puts up 7/5 this year.

I think the same can be said about Casspi imo

But then the winter came, and the grasshopper died, and the octopus ate all his acorns. Also he got a race car. Is any of this getting through to you?"
