Reading the tea leaves - is the Westphal era nearing an end

The Kings can be a very cryptic team to read as Petrie normally does not divulge a lot of information.  However, the one sign we typically do get from the organization seems to come from our announcers - Jerry & Grant.  Whenever they start trashing a player or talking up a player, it has predicated a move the organization was making.

This makes sense too.  They are basically the paid mouthpieces of the team and the Maloofs have seemed to use them as their own source of propaganda.  This doesn't mean every piece of non-sense that comes out of Napier's mouth is meaningful, but when there is a sustained line of reasoning coming from Grant and Jerry, I do pay close attention.  In recent years, we've seen them basically change their views and start stating strong opinions on Rubio, Kevin Martin and Cousins among others.  And every time, it was in a direction that the franchise ended up going.

Why do I bring this up?  Watching the Warriors game the other night, I was shocked at how negative Grant and Jerry were.  Not disappointed, but really trashing the team and questioning it.  Reading some of the message boards, it appears Grant is also being critical on his show.  He may not have called out Westphal by name, but he is making a lot of negative comments about the team's direction and how badly they are playing.

So my question is, is the propaganda machine is in full tilt?  Are Grant and Jerry foreshadowing a move we are about to see?  Are we truly entering Westphal's final days as coach?  Is the organization giving us a sign?

My guess is "yes."  I think we can expect to continue to hear the Maloof-sponsored announcers discussing how disorganized the team is and how they aren't living up to their potential.  I think we are entering perhaps the final month of the Paul Westphal era.

Would love to hear your thoughts below.
