not kings related...but worth a chuckle

But seriously. How does an NBA head coach not know that Kevin Martin’s game is to get to the foul line.

Phil Jackson, after treatment for a kidney stone "When the anesthesiologist leaned over me, he said "We named your kidney stone Kobe because it's not passing."

I sense he was being sarcastic

He was saying that in response to the officiating…full quote for fairness:

"They got a number of calls," Kuester said, which counts as blunt talk coming from him when the subject is officiating. "We created some of the problems by ourselves. But I’m amazed that Kevin martin got 15 free throws. I never knew he was a post player."

People ask me what I do in winter when there's no baseball. I'll tell you what I do. I stare out the window and wait for spring. ~ Rogers Hornsby

The funny thing is

that Kuester is still clueless about the NBA no matter the irony, because post players don’t get as many FTs as penetrating guards/forwards. The only bigs who earn many FTs are face up players like Bosh and Amare..

Yep -

After Dwight Howard, these are the next seven guys on the FTA per game list: Durant, E.Gordon(!), LeBron, Westbrook, Martin, Wade, Kobe.

Yes he should

But he’s not attacking the basket as much, to my dismay. Again, I don’t know how much to attribute this to injury, but last year when he wasn’t injured, he looked much better.
