1st Game Day after Trade Deadline
Thought I'd post some fun stuff from box scores on the guys that got traded in the first real game day after trades (nobody who had been traded played yesterday). No real point, just thought it'd be fun to see who's adjusting quickly and not after the deadline.
Charlotte 110, Cleveland 93 (box score) - Charlotte kicked the crap out of Cleveland. New Bobcat Tyrus Thomas shot 3-9 from the field for 9 points in 25 minutes but had 12 boards, 6 blocks and 2 assists. Antawn Jamison shot 0-12 from the field, had 7 rebounds, 1 assist and steal, and had 5 of his shots blocked in 26 minutes.
Washington 107, Denver 97 (box score) - Josh Howard played in his 2nd game as a Wizard and had 20 points on 8-11 shooting in 23 minutes, along with 4 rebounds. Al Thornton came off the bench for 32 minutes and had 21 points on 7-12 shooting (7-9 from the line), 5 boards and 4 blocks. Former Maverick James Singleton had 9 boards and 7 points in his 20 minutes off the bench and Quinton Ross only played 4 minutes and did nothing of note.
Chicago 100, Minnesota 94 (box score) - Hakim Warrick had 10 points and 9 boards off the bench for Chicago in 30 minutes of play, while Flip Murray had 8 points and 3 boards in 18 minutes.
Dallas 95, Orlando 85 (box score) - In their 3rd game with the Mavs, Brendan Haywood started for the first time and had 15 points and 9 boards with 2 blocks in 35 minutes, while Caron Butler chipped in with 16 points (on inefficient 7-18 shooting), 7 boards and 2 assists.
Milwaukee 91, Detroit 85 (box score) - John Salmons came off the bench for 33 minutes and scored 19 points on 6-16 shooting (3-6 from 3), and did little else other than have 5 fouls. Presumably, he dribbled a lot.
Miami 100, Memphis 87 (box score) - Ronnie Brewer came off the bench for almost 12 minutes and shot 3 shots, making 1, and had 2 steals.
New Orleans 107, Indiana 101 (box score) - Nobody from traded teams here, but I found this ridiculous. Darren Collison becomes the 2nd rookie this year with a triple double, and more impressive than Curry's as well: 18 points, 13 boards, 12 assists, 8 turnovers! (he has a problem with those), and 3 steals. New Orleans could have the best point and backup point in the league.
Boston 96, Portland 76 (box score) - Nate Robinson and Marcus Landry did not play, but Marcus Camby did, starting at C for 29 minutes and had 2 points on 1-5 shooting, with 7 boards and 5 turnovers.
Be interesting tomorrow to see T-Mac and Sergio play in New York, Hilton Armstrong and that Kevin Martin guy in Houston, and most importantly, Carl Landry in Sacramento.

Also I went back to see how Landry did against the Kings this year
First time they played us this year, Kings won by 9 at Arco to go above .500 for the first time in forever, and Landry only played 17 minutes and shot 1-6 with 3 boards and 2 assists and 4 fouls as Jason Thompson dominated Houston’s big men with 27 points and 11 boards (we want this JT back).
2nd time, this time in Houston, Landry played 25 minutes off the bench had 6-8 from field and 8-8 from the line, with 7 boards and a block.

That 2nd time was a 20 point performance if you can't add.

That doesn't add up though...
I mean 6 – 8 = -2 and 8 – 8 = 0, Seems that he was -2 against the Kings :)
Trade him

Go Kings!
Looks like Collison missed a quadruple double by only 2 turnovers
soft
I've got gas - yea, i'm enviromentally friendly
Ronnie Brewer
got hurt too and left the game on a wheelchair

I see why you were on the Tyrus Thomas bandwagon
wonder how long till Larry Brown drives him crazy though

That team might drive people crazy with TT on it now
That’s a super athletic, super defensive front line when everyone gets healthy. Gerald, Tyrus, and Tyson Chandler (who’s been injured). I wouldn’t want to try to score on them.

the problem with TT isn't the one game he has where everyone goes "whoa!"
it is the other four games and two practices where everyone sighs and shakes their head.
If it is a contest of butting heads with Larry Brown v. Ty Thomas – I’ll take Brown.
Yes, Aykis I am a TT Hater. It is now officially official (really, I just like counterpointing, and I just know you would be disappointed if I didn’t).

I so wanted the Kings to get Brenden Haywood,
maybe we can steal him away this summer. Mav’s are over the luxury tax even without him signed.

I agree he's a good fit
