So Kmart wasnt the problem??
And calm down on Landry guys. Its going to take at least 15 games for him to get adjusted to coach westphals system. But trust me when this guy adapts…HE WILL BE A BEAST! And Tyreke needs to step up if we want to win this. Jus sayin
Landry has talent for days, he's going to be a complete asset.

I loved the post ups
He has good moves. Something we didn;t have. He’s not going to travel so much. Good pickup
"Children want what they want when they want it." ... Andy Sims
You can see the skills
Its pretty clear. It seems like he is trying to go 110% and fit into the team, but unfortunately when you go 110% in steps, thats a foul
Might've been a good idea to bring him off the bench for a couple of games

He does do something that no other player we've had can do:
He gets up in the air quickly. We don’t have a lot of explosive guys.

Hope we can get this win, if not we can always blame Kevin. Go Kings!

Lmao off good one..
So Mentally weak….(Sarcasm)
By the way Kevin was 3-14 from the field tonight. But he still got 14 points. Majority at the line. So i guess small market teams dont draw fouls…..right Kevin?

I'd have taken him, although I like Landry having a lot more great years ahead.

its going to take
a lot longer than one half to determine that.

it made a lot of sense on paper to me
Landry’s younger, cheaper, this year has been about as good as Kevin’s good years.
It made sense on a lot of levels to me.

I'm on the "F this trade" bandwagon
but c’mon. Quiet down for now.

but wait, K Mart was 3 for 16 tonight in loss to Pacers
guess that means they got burned in the trade—-by the dumbass first game logic on display tonight.
Calm down guys...
Tyreke will get it going like he always does. We will be back in this in no time. Although Nocioni is sitting on the bench…hmm smell post deadline trade….
Patience is a virtue.
My fellow Kings fans,
Please be patient. Obviously this team has some deficiencies that are more than one player and more than a deadline deal can fix, but I encourage you to be patient.
We get that Kevin wasn’t the sole reason for our issues. The trade is done. It’s time to look at the new team that is left in the wake and see what we have.
No team quickly acclimates to a new roster. Whenever you add a player into the mix it takes a lot of time to get the squad right.
If you are evaluating that trade based on one half of play, I really don’t know what to say to you. It isn’t how you do things. It takes time.
This team wasn’t going ANYWHERE in it’s previous form. I really liked Kevin, but it just wasn’t going to happen. If nothing else, the trade frees up money to go after future prospects and we get a big out of it. How many times do you see teams deal for the bigger player AND cut future payroll? It just doesn’t happen that often.
I watch a lot of NBA and cover a lot of games other than the Kings and trust me when I say that we have a good thing going here. It may take time, but we are moving in the right direction. I’ve been a pessimistic Kings fans for years as well, so I get that part, but let’s just please give this some time before we immediately jump to conclusions over whether the trade was good or bad.

Playing his first game on a new team,I still like the trade because it = Landry and another quality player for 1 quality player and Sergio

Or in the next several seasons.
We’re only playing for draft position, and to get the young guys some burn.

but 3-16 and losing at home by 10 to Indy is pretty brutal.
Well. We were just down 6. This sucks
Not that I care about the losing, it is just the way that it is happening.
I find
that when the losing is happening, all of the ways it happens suck.

What we've got here is, failure to communicate. Some men you just can't reach.
I'm going to find an exception to this, post it, flaunt it, neener neener you to boredom, then parade around in my underpants feeling oh so successful.
Or I could, you know, not do that.

I saw a ton to like with Martin.
He filled the box score. He shot 9 FT. He took open shots. If he goes at his career rate he scores 28 in 30 minutes, easy

As for PG, the only point I’ve seen take advantage of his size against Houston is Williams, and a couple of times, Kidd. The rest? Meh.

Im guessing the latter half of season is going to feature the Kings
team that can beat an upper echelon team one night, and lose to shitbags the next.
comes with the youthful territory.
I choose to only remember the team that played to the wire nearly every night.
where the hell are they? tired, Im guessing. There was that period of false euphoria where people (and players) thought they might battle for 8th seed

Kaman really stinking the place up.
Who was it that told me how stooopid I was for suggesting we try and pick him up?
When I die, I want to go peacefully like my Grandfather did, in his sleep -- not screaming, like the passengers in his car.
I'm sure we tried.
Word was that they were asking a TON for him. Most of the NBA was looking into getting Kaman this year and last.

about swapping Kaman for Martin and some “tool” told me I didn’t know anything about basketball and he is glad that GP isn’t that stupid.

You can't give him the ball at the elbow and say "Go score"

I realy like how he was able too two foot jump and dunk right under the rim. That shows explosiveness.
I've got gas - yea, i'm enviromentally friendly
He can do that.
But you’ve got to let him set up underneath.
His jumper is pretty good, but that’s not the weapon that gets frontcourts into foul trouble.
Significant gravitas shortfall expected in 2010.
“Let him set up” e.g. post up, or you mean he has to collect himself before exploding up to dunk (e.g. is a bit slow at getting off his feet)?
Not at all.
He’s an explosive jumper. I mean he’s not a “dribble drive” guy. He’s an old school power forward who scores points close to the basket.
Significant gravitas shortfall expected in 2010.
I think it’ll take the Kings awhile to figure out what to do with Landry. We haven’t had a guy with a real post game since Webber.
Even Webber would handle the ball, and drive and shoot long jumpers.
When healthy he was incredible.
Landry basically answer the old description of Power Forward, before they all started shooting bullshit threes.

Maybe not as clever with his scoring, but he’s awfully young still.

Brandon is a lot savvier, for sure. He’s the ultimate decision-maker, which is why he’s a great passer but almost never turns it over. He and Tyreke are both a special kind of combo guard, I think.

that's also because besides Reke Im having a hard time thinking of our good passers.

honestly
I don’t think you can say Hawes has been looking for his shot for the last month. When he catches it, he’s always looking to make a pass first if he’s more than 8ft away from the hoop.

he's passed up a lot more 3s in the last month
than he’s taken. Do you really think he’s been taking too many 3s lately?

Significant gravitas shortfall expected in 2010.

Gonna take them both a bit to get into it all.
Probably not.
Clyde Drexlers opinion (and some are worth listening to, the rest are ok because he’s from Houston and won a ring there) is that it takes 10-15 games to adjust to a new team. Not that he did it a lot.

What you can see is all these players "growing up" together.
Keep the same coach, too. It will start to gel for all of them at about the same time. It’s a very young team. I’d almost say you need to add a creaky, smart player like Camby, because while I don’t believe in a lot of “veteran leadership” stuff, I think it makes some difference with very young teams.

The constant losing thing is
damaging the “young guns” confidence and it shows. Brtinging in a veteran to help the W’s is never a bad idea as long as its not too expensive.
