Could some of you maybe use a condom once in a while?
We're over 50 games in...
and you still don’t know people aren’t supposed to post links and where to find them?
What we've got here is, failure to communicate. Some men you just can't reach.

Yea! Donte at the 2 Guard position instead of Garcia
To be the best, you have to do your best. Otherwise, you are only second-rate.
Dorsey sounds very happy to be here

So Balcony Heights is supposed to be some sort of escort service at the game?

Thank God it's Al McCoy.
No mistakes in the tango, Donna. Not like life. Simple. That's what makes the tango so great. If you make a mistake, and get all tangled up, you just tango on.....
I'm not sure Donald Sterling is a human being. He had to have been manufactured by someone, possibly David Stern, so that one team could solely just make profit for the NBA while doing nothing good for themselves. -- Aykis 16
Go Kings!
Donté starting at the 2. I like it

that shocks me Pook

Ralph Lawler is a legend.

Not everyone loves the game like we Michael.
Take my word for it: Appreciate the blogosphere for what it is. Don’t use it as a crutch to say that PBP guys know less. Just my opinion though.

what are Peaches and Jerry complaining about? That was as obvious a charge as they get.

Its amazing how many more defensive rebounds we get
when the perimeter guys play as good a defense as they have so far. Tremendous display by our “little” guys.

landry
is already starting off like he should. i’d rather him attack the paint then settle for jumpers though..
not saying he cant hit em.
I cringe a bit when our big man resort to shooting jumpers. i love Landry’s game, so i guess i can handle it…for now.
he shoots a lot of jumpshots
better get used to it. On the plus side, he’s pretty decent at them.

but after seeing Spence night in and night out some nights, any improvement would be nice.
he's a better offensive rebounder than Spencer
and a worse defensive rebounder.

I think so too

I haven't understood
the lack of respect he gets on this board. He really is a nice, well rounded player.
Because he really stunk last year

It wasn't his stats that were the problem.
It was how he played that I had a problem with. I’m going to give him a pass after the crappy injury he suffered. Or, I’m going to give him a pass until he consistently underperforms by the beginning of next season. If he performs well, and it’s not the stats, than I’ll be happy to say.

guess that answers my question...

He can put the ball in the hoop when he gets it going (which is pretty often) but he gives up a LOT on the other end, and he just doesn’t have the fire you wanna see. Seems like he doesn’t attack the rim like anything like he did way back when he was with the Warriors…

Anyone care to give a quick recap?
"Children want what they want when they want it." ... Andy Sims
Landry started off well hitting jumpers, attacking the paint and shooting some freethrows. Beno carried the scoring load for a while, hitting a series of jumpers. Tyreke has 3 fouls in the first half. Uhhh, Spencer and Jason Thompson are finally playing great at the same time. Dominic McGuire has played some good minutes, and Donte Greene is 22 today and in double digits. Garcia has yet to play. Stoudamire and Jason Richardson are killing us early on.
the kids are looking kind of like they did in November. Phoenix came back at the end of 2nd qtr
JT is effective, playing loose, Donté playing well, ’Reke benched for fouls with 3 minutes to go. Signs of interior defense, good ball movement. Enough?

Thanks everyone

he is hurting Houston right now. I don’t know if he isn’t fully healthy, but his shot has been off since coming back from the injury. Explain trollish
Most of the conversation around here is that JT and Hawes need to get better. They are as good or better than Frye is right now – and Frye has 4.5 years under his belt.
Now, if I said “You’re wrong – blow me!”, that might make me a troll. But when I take a counter stance, with statistics and without emotion, that just makes me someone that may not agree with you.
Regarding B.Lopez, I’d take him in a heartbeat, so I’m not sure what you’re driving at there.

I was discussing who would win ROY
not who is better. Who is “better” is a whole different kettle – and cannot be assessed yet based on evidence (which is obviously complicated by their being such different players).
ROY, however, we can speak of intelligently. And the stats have already been posted. Right now they are quite close – and the current trend has Curry improving and Tyreke holding steady.

Curry is a gifted rookie who has been playing very well as late.
He may get a second “Rookie of the Month” award. Despite this, taken as a whole, Tyreke still leads the ROY. Tyreke was MVP at the All-Star game. He didn’t share that with Curry.

Curry is going to have a hard time catching Evans
Tyreke = 20.2 p, 4.9 r, 5.3 a, 1.5s, 2.9 to
Curry = 14.9 p, 4.0 r, 5.2 a, 1.9 s, 2.8 to.
There are 25-17 games left. Curry is going to need to bury Evans over that stretch if he is to catch him.

Uhhhh...
As I said earlier, the only difference is in points. And if you consider Curry leads in steals, 3-point % and free throw percentage – it makes the case even more difficult.
Further, f you compared their stats from the last month or so, the stats aren’t even close – Curry would win by a landslide. Hence my original comment.
"I hate all sports as rabidly as a person who likes sports hates common sense."
-H.L. Mencken
Respectfully disagree
If you look at the stats over the last month and a half, Curry has been a little better. During the first month and a half, Evans was a lot better. Hence Evans’ lead in most of the stats.
Curry is playing better than any of the rookies right now. But the award is given for the 82 game schedule. Otherwise, you might as well give it to Darren Collison.

And the only thing that seperates their season stats
is 5 PPG. Should Curry’s current performance continue, that gap will narrow – along with changes to the rest of the stat sheet.
The only difference between us that I can discern is that I believe you are overstating the importance of PPG. As I said earlier, Ty takes more shots.

3 and a half shots a game

I know the feeling of being gang-rushed on here. If it makes you feel any better, you are right. The ROY race may be closer than a lot of people anticipated. I made the same argument myself a few days ago, but got “gang-rushed” by a few people on here who didn’t want to hear it.
Truce.

With all due respect,
if you have an opinion that a majority agrees with, you get affirmation. When you have an opinion that a majority disagrees with, you get a lot of opposing views. I don’t see that as “gang-rushed” – I see that as you having a minority opinion that many disagree with. That doesn’t make you wrong, of course. But you can’t tell me that you didn’t anticipate that a few people would have an opposing response to your assertion.
