That makes a lot of sense. Because there is word that there is some dissention about player minutes on a team that is fourth worst in the team? Shocking, bench players wanting more minutes, whiny players whining when you're not winning.
Yes, a new coach will suddenly be the cure-all panacea, magic bullet that will suddenly turn "Shock and Hawes" from mental midgets to legitimate post presences on both ends in the NBA. Let's get Isaiah. Its because Westphal played so long ago and actually wanted to coach the Kings, he doesn't understand the game. It has nothing to do with players missing wide open looks, being the fourth youngest in the league or simply being outplayed by superior, more experienced talent - it is the coaches fault! We missed on Musselman, Theus, Natt, and Westphal, but we'll nail it next time!
Three games removed from a major trade involving your most proven NBA talent, let's get on coach because of the fan assessment of substitution patterns. Especially since the organization has so much money to throw around given the great arena prospects, they are suddenly going to be willing to shell-out billions on a proven winner (when do the Avery Johnson posts start again?) Bosh and Lebron are fighting each other to see who can be the first to sign with Sacramento.
Shoot, I don't think the Kings even need a coach. We'll trust in Petrie to bring in the talent and then just let StR polls decide player rotations, plays and defense matchups or just let players themselves decide since they are the experts in how many minutes they should get! All their actual playing problems will disappear then! Screw coaches, overrated and the Kings could save millions!
Who cares about winning more games at the all-star break than the Kings won all of last year? Actually let's throw Paul Westphal under the bus, while his wife is suffering from a serious illness which causes him to miss practice and attend to her. Let's get in front and make sure that Paul knows we're watching him and his strange substitution patterns (even though most fans would disagree who the starting 5 and 8 should be.)
Trying to integrate players who haven't even had a chance to practice or young players that are still developing and inconsistent. Punishing those who go to the media with comments detrimental to the team - we see what you're really trying to do PW! Young players need to know they will get consistent minutes no matter how wretchedly they play or how gruesome their effort or adherence to the team's philosophy, that is how you build a championship contender - I know because I watch internet streaming of Kings games virtually every night while throwing back a cold one. Westphal, you and your 30 years of playing and coaching experience, NBA finals, sminals, you know nothing!
Stay classy, Sactown, stay classy.
