Jason Thompson Out Two Weeks

The Kings have announced Jason Thompson will miss two weeks after fracturing two bones in his back on that awfully hard fall during Tuesday's game against the Pistons. The specific injury: "two non-displaced transverse processes fractures in his lower back."

These will be the first games Thompson has ever missed due to injury. He missed two games earlier this month due to a death in the family. Thompson is a tough cookie, and stayed in the game with the fractures on Tuesday.

I do not think Spencer Hawes's role will involve a tailored suit going forward.

Talk about beating a dead horse..

It’s kind of hard to see the similarity considering JT hasn’t missed a single game due to injury. I guess some K-mart lovers won’t ever get over the evil, nasty, super cruel things that monster Grant Napear (a.k.a. Satan) said.

Did some digging

Most I can tell now is that 3 weeks of bed rest is the minimum amount of time needed and then that is followed by rehabilitation and earing a brace.

If JT has this type of injury he is probably out for the rest of the season unless it is the tiniest of fractures.

Robbie Hummel of my Boilermakers

missed two weeks, maybe three last year with the same thing on a nearly identical fall. He wasn’t that good when he came back but – he played.

Unfortunately for my guys, Hummel tore his ACL against Minn last night. He won’t be back. So, one of the few years in which a non blue chip program like ours had a real chance to maybe get to the FF – is over.

Remember

when Jim Les got denied from the court the night of the 3 point shootout because he couldn’t convince the security staff that he was an actual NBA player?
That had to be the lowest point in any nba players career ever.

Tanking is bad karma

they’re losing fine on their own by trying. Let’s see where the effort takes us. Quite honestly, if Westphal tried to tank I think this team would quit on him.

Karma has to be on our side this year. If we finish with the 4th worst record I would put money on the fact that we get a better draft slot than last year.

But at least we have some big bodies (or wide in May’s case). I’m wondering what will happen when Reke or Beno get injured. We’re awfully thin at point guard….
