SN: Was it, essentially, a matter of not being able to play with Tyreke Evans?
KM: I don’t think it was that. Tyreke and I never had a problem. I do think, maybe they wanted to use him more as a two-guard, so that made sense for them to do that.

We love you Kev. That was a classy interview all the way around.
Not that I’m surprised.

Kevin Martin's lying. No one is able to play with Tyreke Evans.
"Oh, y ahora ¿quién podrá defenderme?" "¡Yo!"

I think Kevin Martin is lying about not being upset when people refer to him as "soft."
My understanding, when he was in Sacramento, he was quite upset with Peaches for referring to him in that manner. I don’t really blame him for not admitting to that, as he wants to put all of that behind him.
To be the best, you have to do your best. Otherwise, you are only second-rate.
You ever hear the expression "If you're not a part of the solution, you're part of the problem?"
I defy you to find the word “soft” anywhere in that article. Show me!
If you equate “injury prone” to “soft” you’re as stupid as Peaches. The guy being interviewed in the linked article dropped 48 points the night he broke his wrist, the next night, played with the wrist, got 29 and added 11 boards for good measure.
Has Kevin Martin had more than his share of injuries? Absolutely. Are we talking about cases of sciatica and pussy finger? No. The article asked about whether or not he thought he was injury prone, and he said he didn’t think so. He may be wrong, from my perspective.
If you think he’s soft, feel free to jump up and kiss my entire ass.

Whoa, put on the brakes a yad bit. I dont think Slam was calling Kevin soft.
It really seemed that he was on Kevin’s side. He used faulty word association, but you don’t have to just fly off the handle and compare him to Grant Napear…
That’s just cold man.

Maybe so, but I stand by my subject line.
The article that this quote comes from isn’t about the issue beaten to death ad nauseam on the radio and in some postings here. So, I still don’t see any point it bringing it up.

Thank you Tom
I was not calling Kevin soft.

Your reply is soft.
No mistakes in the tango, Donna. Not like life. Simple. That's what makes the tango so great. If you make a mistake, and get all tangled up, you just tango on.....
I'm not sure Donald Sterling is a human being. He had to have been manufactured by someone, possibly David Stern, so that one team could solely just make profit for the NBA while doing nothing good for themselves. -- Aykis 16

Because soft is different than injury prone. Look how many games “tough” players like Ron Artest miss?
Name one player that think he's injury prone.

Here is where I come up with the word soft.
It goes back to when Kevin had a problem with his ankle last season. Peaches was referring to Kevin as being “soft” when he didn’t play due to his injury. There became an association that he was “soft” ostensibly because he was using his ankle as an excuse to not play.
I didn’t say that he was “soft.”

soft leader
kevin was a soft leader when it came to crunch time the other teams d could stop him and that made him a soft spot in my eyes a great player and team leader can score at will any time of the game look at reggie miller same type of player but kevin didnt have the killer instinkt " and im not a miller fan"

Because I intend to steal this line some day.
I stole it from someone, so be my guest.
If I’m not mistaken, I believe it was Niles from Frasier.

NaPG (minus the sarcasm)...why does it matter?...because...
ball movement requires that the ball not be in his hands while he stares at Derozan and everybody is just standing around…
three words for Tyreke’s off season….catch and shoot….
