Why would I go there
I would just be hurting him. I love Tyreke but Durantula is ridiculous. That’s not even fair. Tyreke & Westbrook would probably be about even but Durant? Come on you might as well have said Lebron.
I love beating dead horses.
I would probably build a team around Tyreke more than Westbrook
But agree wholeheartedly about Durant. Guy is ridiculous. He deserves some MVP votes this year.

I would go Reke over Westbrook
Talent-wise they are about the same but Westbrook plays with an MVP & Tyreke has shown superior leadership abilities(minus the Noce incident). That’s not taking anything away from Westbrook the guy is sick.
Disclaimer: I don’t know if Westbrook has leadership capabilities. I don’t watch him enough. I just know he doesn’t have to be the alpha with Durant there & I know what I see in Reke.
I love beating dead horses.
In all honesty I'd probably pick Durant.

Sure, and I as well as most others would too..
…however, let’s level the playing field. Let’s compare ROOKIE Durant to ROOKIE Evans. Who would you take then?
I mean obviously you’ve seen Durant seasoned for 3 years now. Give Evans that much time, and I think the question comes with a much more convoluted answer. Durant may still have the edge, but it’s much closer than it is comparing a 3rd year Durant with a Rookie Evans.
And the Tyreke hype officially jumps the shark...

This is just mean
You can’t put durant and tyreke in the same category yet! Rose and Tyreke, yes. Durant and Lebron, maybe. Tyreke and Durant, no. Absolutely no.
3rd year vs 1st year
Ask me this time next year, but right now – its all about Durant.
Its obvious he’ll be a SuperStar for years and years and the Jury is still out on Tyreke. All-Star: Yes, SuperStar? We’ll see.

Good point.
I agree Durant is head and shoulders above right now…But if you compare Durants first year stats with and Evans, its pretty damn comparable actually. Only real difference is Reke with a few more assists. But I agree, lets see during Evans third year. We still don’t know how good this guy can be.
Sometimes you just have to look yourself in the mirror and say....Tyreke Evans.
That just happened.
At this point in their careers?
Durant all the way. With the cast of characters around him and the coaching staff and supportive city and do whatever it takes ownership. We could be looking at the next small-ish market super franchise (ala San Antonio).
In three to five years though? I might be saying Tyreke MAYBE. But at this point Durant is a freak of nature and can do anything and everything on the court.

Wait. I thought ESPN had Curry as the ROY
Why isn’t it Curry vs Durant? I don’t expect to be seeing that conversation any time soon.
And I vote Durant over either one, btw. Stupid Poll.

There are maybe 3 players I'd rather build around than Durant
Lebron and Dwight definitely, Wade maybe.

Hmmm
I’d mix that up – Lebron and Wade definitely, Dwight maybe.
Am I the only one who noticed that Tom Zook gave his bank account number to an anonymous person over the phone?
Dominant Big Men are the hardest thing to find in this league
Dwight Howard is a dominant big man and he’s only 24, won Defensive Player of the Year already and been to the NBA Finals. He’s super athletic, does not get the ball nearly enough for a player of his caliber, and has had no injury history, playing 82 games for his first 4 years, 79 last year, and on pace for 82 this year.
Wade I’m worried about injuries a little bit.

Eric Maynor runs the universe....
…and he does not have time for the male version of a trite popularity contest like MVP.
No mistakes in the tango, Donna. Not like life. Simple. That's what makes the tango so great. If you make a mistake, and get all tangled up, you just tango on.....
I'm not sure Donald Sterling is a human being. He had to have been manufactured by someone, possibly David Stern, so that one team could solely just make profit for the NBA while doing nothing good for themselves. -- Aykis 16
What?
Where’s the Durant vs. Curry poll?
I suppose that Evans should be flattered that they would even ask this question, but I would trade Tyreke for Durant right now, and I’d drive to OKC to fetch him.
SACTOWN ROYALTY - Try our thick creamy shakes!
A stretch to compare Reke to Durant now for sure, but if you want to compare rookie seasons
And I’m not sating this is a good way to make a comparison (PJ put Durant at the 2 his rookie season- didn’t he? wtf?) but:
Rookie Durant:
PER: 15.8
Pts: 20.3
Reb: 4.4
Assts: 2.4
Min: 34.6
TS : 51.9
Tyreke
PER: 18.5
Pts: 20.3
Reb: 5.0
Assts: 5.5
Min: 37.2
TS : 53.3
For the record though, Chris Paul had a per of 22.1 his rookie season. Jordan? 25.8. They were a couple years older than Tyreke and Rookie Durant. And this is actually a little bit unfair considering Durant was a MIP candidate his sophomore year.
Will he ever be as good as KD? Only time will tell. But there is much evidence that suggests he’ll be a stud in this league.
