Quick Question For Everyone..
Hello everyone,
I'm a recent victim of a heavy dose of nostalgia, and I'm currently on YouTube watching videos of the old Kings. Now I wanted everyone's opinion (quick comment, not a poll or anything) about the point guard situation back then.
Who did you prefer? White Chocolate or Bibby? Was Bibby ever a true King? Was anyone sad when White Chocolate was traded?
I became a fan when Bibby was at the reigns, so I never experienced White Chocolate, but to me he seemed to really know the guys well, and seemed to really be a true point guard.
Thanks for your time,
Jumowbray

Here's my opinion
And I think its one that is shared by many Kings fans. Williams helped make the Kings exciting. Bibby helped make them relevant.
I loved watching J-Will’s flash, but Bibby’s substance helped the Kings advance to almost the highest peak. Yes, Bibby was a true King. He spent the best years of his career here, and although he probably stayed too long, I will always remember his play here fondly. He’s the best point guard we’ve had in the Sacramento era before Tyreke came along.

Aykis said it best.
No mistakes in the tango, Donna. Not like life. Simple. That's what makes the tango so great. If you make a mistake, and get all tangled up, you just tango on.....
I'm not sure Donald Sterling is a human being. He had to have been manufactured by someone, possibly David Stern, so that one team could solely just make profit for the NBA while doing nothing good for themselves. -- Aykis 16
Agreed with Aykis
Though the team made the SI cover with Williams, so the Kings were at least nationally recognized before Bibby’s arrival. That said, I can’t imagine Williams stroking that mid-range jumper off the Webber screen in game 5 of the 2002 Western Conference Finals, which still ranks as my single favorite Kings moment.
Bibby’s arrival marked the transition of this team from highlight reel fodder to championship contender.

I can’t even guess how many miles I have been able to run using this moment as motivation. By the way, I was in a college dorm in the bay area at the time this happened and was with 1 other kings fan and about 9 lakers fans. Needless to say I dry ended up practically dry humping the other kings fan after that shot. Best dry hump evAR … er probably should delete that.
Could some of you maybe use a condom once in a while?

I was sitting in a sports bar in Hawaii drunk off my ass and then some when this happened
I’m still amazed I didn’t get a DUI after waking up from being passed out.

Moments
I agree with Aykis and everyone else here but I have a different favorite moment. I was lucky enough to be at game 5 when Bibby hit that shot and it was truly electrifying. I was so punch drunk and giddy after that game that I drove around Sacramento honking my horn with a bunch of other loonies!
Sill, my favorite memory from the glory days were images of the flight back from Utah when the Kings stole a game to make it 1-1 in that first playoff series with Webber and the gang. Vlade, Webber and J-Will were all singing that “Take me home West Virginia” song on the plane ride and I remember thinking “Wow this team is going to be fun to watch for many years!” The feeling of having the greatest show on court was something special. Sure being contenders may have been better, but I miss those crazy plays. Too bad there is no high quality compilation of some of these old videos. Like a DVD or something.
