Will Reke be back the next 2 weeks?

i didn't get a chance to see the game last night. is he down for sure for the next 2 weeks? i got him in fantasy bball and he's helped lead my team to 1st place but i need him for the playoffs. If he's out, you think the extra touches are going to omri udrih hawes or who?

The funny is that

I also have him on my fantasy team but I hadn’t thought about that until nima brought it up. I’m glad I care about the player more than I care about some game.

I passed some kind of test. The tool test? the Peaches test?

Wow way to be dicks. I thought Sac fans were above Utah & Laker fans.

I asked a legitimate question. I didn’t laugh that he got hurt, or cheer it on. I like Tyreke and think he’s an excellent player. Obviously I wish him the best but I don’t think it makes me an awful person to look ahead.

Who cares about your fantasy team man?

“I need him for the playoffs”

We’ll be sure to let him know that so he rushes back.

I had Oden on my fantasy team too

I’ll make sure to go to Bedge and ask if he’s coming back soon because I need him for my fantasy playoffs.

The PBX logo isn't helping either.

The Portlanders that post here have better taste than to post that.

This.

Even if Bedger’s have Reke on their fantasy team, they wouldn’t ask this. They are like this: They’ll know when Reke returns when we do.

one point:

Maybe because most of my Blazers have gone down with injuries monumentally worse than this this news doesn’t sting as much, but this injury is not career altering at all.

The biggest thing he loses out on is averaging 20/5/5 in the record books. But we all know he would have. He has a concussion and a (possibly) broken jaw that would keep him out for the season. You weren’t making a run for the playoffs so nothing is harmed for THIS season and this injury does not have as much long term consequences as Oden’s microfracture or Przybilla’s busted knee.

I understand that its hard and it sucks but step back, breath and relax, and realize that I did not come here to insult any of you or anything of that sort.

Understood

However, had any KIngs fans logged onto to Blazers Edge right after Oden’s injury (or Pryzbilla’s, or when Roy got hurt) and asked the question that you asked, the retribution would have been swift, forceful and justified.

Your question may have been legit, but you asked to a group of passionate fans that are 100% concerned over the future of their franchise and 0% concerned over the future of yours.

I'll let you off with a warning here

But if you’re going to come on to this site and start calling the members “dicks” or say “screw you,” you will be banned.

Own this – your timing on this issue sucked, and the response that you received was largely justified.

My timing on the issue did not suck and the responses I received were not justified.

Rereading it, I didn’t say I’m sorry he went down in the post and I own that omission. Two wrongs don’t make a right and I should not have called anyone a dick, but to come after me for saying screw you after being repeatedly called a tool by members of this site is not fair.

I have been respectful to those who did not attack me personally and I thanked them for their input. And I apologize for calling Aykis a dick but he keeps trying to provoke me.

I appreciate your responses section214, I really do. But taking your hypothetical: I think people would groan and say too soon but I don’t think the poster would be called a tool for asking that question. People would post like you saying its in poor taste. People would provide input. But they would not call the poster a tool without being issued a warning.

And if someone here had posted a similar fanpost at BE the night Oden was hurt,

what do you think the reaction there would have been? Honestly?

I have a lot of respect for Mortimer and Timmay and jscot and the rest, and I don’t think that they would have posted something this insensitive. And if one of us at StR had come on to BE the night that Oden went down and said (with no contrition), “My fantasy team has Oden, and this could be a big loss for me. Do you think that Pryzbilla’s numbers will improve now?”, I would have deserved both barrels, period.

by section214 on Mar 21, 2010 10:10 PM PDT up reply actions

i already told you what the reaction would be. I'm pretty confident of that.

Would Mortimer or Jscot come here and post what I did? That’s a different question and the simple answer is no they wouldn’t. Look, in my last response i already said as much: what I said was in poor taste and I should have said i’m sorry he went down. I certainly felt that way but I didn’t say as much. But I still think its a valid question to ask, albeit presented poorly. But that doesn’t give others the right to call me a tool and I still take exception to being “warned” without similar warnings being issued to others for similar reactions.

Actually if he didn't play the rest of the season

he would go in the record books with Oscar, MJ, and LBJ cause he is averaging 20-5-5 right now. However he could lose out on the ROY cause of people being stupid and forgetting about him somehow three weeks from now. This has a few fans in here worried feeling jobbed, and kind of the reason you got called a Tool.

by Gilo424 on Mar 20, 2010 4:30 PM PDT up reply actions

wasn't there some minimum of 70 games played?

not talking about ROY award, I was talking about records of 20/5/5. I could (and probably am) wrong, but I thought there was a minimum 70 game requirement for that accomplishment.

Tyreke hands down deserves ROY. we all agree on that. Curry is playing well but Tyreke is dominating. I can’t believe that is a conversation to some people.
