How is that possible? A discrepency of 5 or so is reasonable, but three times as many on the Kings? There’s something wrong here…. Not good. Some are certainly stupid fouls on us, but there’s no way that a team has only committed 6 fouls at the 4 minute park of the third quarter.

Definitely kind of strange. Not that I like any kind of ref bias, even when it benefits teams I like, but it’s true that usually calls go for the home team. I just find it extremely unlikey that a team has only committed 8 fouls in three full quarters of play (unless, of course, the refs were letting a LOT of contact go, and the opposing team only had 9 or something).

The kings can certainly make the playoffs with just 1 other added piece
But winning a championship is a whole other ordeal entirely. I feel we definitely need 3 certified all-stars in order to win a championship, becasue reke is great, but he’s no LeBron.

Three certified all-stars would go a long way toward winning a championship. I would count Tyreke as one of the All-Stars, as he will certainly be one, even though he is not certified right now. Course, it could be argued that three certified All-Stars on any team would go a long way toward winning a championship.

Here's the thing though
If Miami loses Wade, they’re so far under the minimum salary threshold they may have to pay a team just to allow them to take salary. A team like New Orleans would make that a lot easier by allowing Miami to take 20 million in salary. Win-win for both clubs if Miami had to make minimum salary next season.

Why was Haddadi, as an international, allowed to sign as a free agent while other international players like Casspi, Rubio, Peja, Dirk, etc. all have to enter through the draft?

He signed as an undrafted FA with the Grizz when he was playing in the NBDL. It’s like Noc when he signed with the Bulls. Same kinda thing. You have to be about 24 or older to sign with any team when you weren’t drafted. Sarunas Jaskievicius did it too with the Pacers a few years ago. It’s not common but it does happen.

No it’s not like that. What happened with Morris is that he entered the draft, and nobody drafted him. He then went back to Kentucky and finished out his college career. When it was over he signed with the Knicks. Morris is even worse than Haddadi because he’s too small to play his real position is C. He isn’t physical or long enough to make up for it.

The difference between Noc & Jaskievicius is that nobody drafted them when they were playing in Europe.
Haddadi was known to NBA teams, but he couldn’t get out of Iran. Even when he came over, he hasn’t really impressed. He’s at best a backup big for a team starved for size. He does give effort from what I’ve seen though.

He wasn't drafted and he was older than the oldest possible age to be drafted which is 24. He was playing in the NBDL for some team and that's when the Grizzlies signed him.
