Omri Casspi MADE A LAYUP!!!
Crowd cheered more for that than the Nets win.
Grandmaster of the "Never let AnotherStupidSN forget what a Sham-Wow is" Order and Originator of the "Brock Ness Monster".
And you're an incredible
douchebag. Or an anti-semite. I’ll leave it up to you to choose which one.
SACTOWN ROYALTY - Try our thick creamy shakes!
Right
And you’re someone that jumps on Casspi whenever he doesn’t play well, and is ominously quiet on the topic when he does play well.
And I disagree – If a bunch of people of Israeli heritage or of the Jewish religion feel like giving him a standing ovation, what’s the problem and why does it bother you?

When was the last time you offered a worth while comment?

That's subjective. You don't need to think my comments are worthwhile.
another one would be “I don’t like it when Chinese fans almost vote Yi Jianlian as an allstar, either.”
Take them however you want.
*voted
If Yi ever deserves to be an all-star, I have no problem with it.
but I guess that makes me racist against Chinese people as well..?

Doesn't matter
You’d have nothing nice to say about him anyway. For some reason, you don’t like Casspi. It’s apparent. And when you intimate that the attention that he is garnering is part of the reason, it smacks of anti-semitism, at least to me.

If nothing else Omri proved he's cheap tonight.
He couldn’t have dropped shit in a sewer tonight if he wanted to. There: I win!

there's a correlation
It seems to me like he cares more about making Judaism and Israel look good than being a basketball player …but that’s religion and nationalism for ya
wtf? how do u come to that conclusion?
One thing I’d never doubt about Omri is his passion for the game.
Screw you Knicks! LBJ to the Kings!!!
If anything I think he's too serious sometimes. He just needs to relax. He & JT both suffer from the syndrome.
They both think they’re expected to be All-Stars every night. They’re not close to being an All-Star yet. I think they need to ratchet back their goals.

For that record that includes Omri wanting to represent and being an Israeli god or whatever.
I don’t really care, but I think it’s wearing him down and making him think he has to make every shot and make the great play every time. Go out there and play and ignore that other shit. Sometimes its that simple. JT has the same issue’s, but if you think about it he’s a guy on a mission to prove that guys like him can prove to be high quality NBA players considering how late his growth spurt was and playing in the MAAC.

This I don't get.
You’re telling me that a guy is anti-Semitic (or clearly has bias). And you struggle with how this is possible? Sorry man. All I know is that prejudice isn’t rooted in logic.

and the predictable dehumanization of the “other” in order to justify one’s prejudices; it’s a pretty predictable script in human history.

I am very ignorant,
but I’m not prejudiced against the Jewish people. They’re easily the most persecuted of the main religious groups- massacred in the Crusades, blamed for the Black Death (then massacred), constantly forced to relocate.. I was hearing about the Holocaust yesterday, and the experiments in Auschwitz- it always makes me upset and angry. I’ve cried for the Jews.
If you or anyone else thinks I’m anti-semitic, I’m not the only ignorant person here.
I was going to elaborate on why I dislike how many of Omri’s fans cheer him on incessantly for the sole reason that he is Jewish/Israeli (rather than his merits as a basketball player), but the person below is suggesting I should be banned. That being the general sentiment here, I’ll just leave. Whatever, I absolutely don’t mind.
This is my last post. Bye.
Right up to Napear lovin'...
I was with ya. Omri’s madly overrated and over-covered. No other foreign rookie besides Yao Ming has been so closely covered and lavished with praise no matter his actual contribution.
BUT…
When you speak of love for a jug-headed prick like Napear(HERE, of ALL places, D-bag), THEN you go hating on K-Mart, I know you’re a dick.
The wise man tells you Where you have fallen And where you yet may fall - Invaluable secrets! The world may hate him. But good men love him.
Then you found out he was an Israeli?

No let's make it easy.
Omri was cheered by the fans at the IZOD Center tonight because it was the only time they come there. I doubt anybody is following Omri around the country when he plays road games. It’s not like those fans in the Tri-State area will have another chance before next season to cheer Omri. That’s why they did it.

A win tonight to get confidence going into a road trip
would’ve helped as well.

How does beating the Nets give you confidence to beat 2 of the top 7 teams (especially one that is running away with the best record)?

Taking care of a team your supposed to be better than
should be good for a young team. Losing to a team that is historically bad, is not going to be good. We can discuss this all we want, but the fact is the Kings lost and its up to them now to come out with effort and intensity for the rest of the road trip and the season.
Grandmaster of the "Never let AnotherStupidSN forget what a Sham-Wow is" Order and Originator of the "Brock Ness Monster".
You're telling me they really lacked effort & intensity?
That I wholeheartedly disagree with. They just couldn’t hit the broad side of a bard if they had a pebble and the barn was a 100 yards wide.

At least this is the only loss in the series
Wasn’t it Charlotte that lost every game to them? Plus New Jersey has had a better second half of a season, and they are playing to avoid history, and we are without our best player. I don’t think there is much to take from this one.

I didn't think it was that bad. New Jersey didn't play out of their minds, but they didn't play gutterly awful. They were beatable tonight, but not with the way the Kings shot the ball.

I don't "choose" to do so
It’s free on my phone so it’s just convenient to check scores and kill time in class. I don’t like ESPN (especially for baseball) but unfortunately to me they are like the older brother that even though they are a loser you just want attention and acceptance from them…but never get it

I don't know that that is true.
The reality is that the Nets are constantly being talked about as a team that could have broken the record set by the Sixers in 1973. It’s getting a lot of attention, and the Nets getting closer to #9 is a big deal. But, if the Nets win #9 on Friday it will be even a bigger deal.

That all depends upon how good you are at being sarcastic.
To be the best, you have to do your best. Otherwise, you are only second-rate.
Maybe the humiliation of losing to the worst team will help with that.
To be the best, you have to do your best. Otherwise, you are only second-rate.
I don't really see what's humilitating about it.
Boston has lost to the Nets too. Are they really that humiliated by it?

I think people are vastly underestimating how good professional NBA players are.
For example, if I was given an opportunity to bet on this Nets team vs Kentucky (or whatever Final 4 team you pick) and you put them on the court with this Nets team with NBA rules, I’ll take the Nets every time.

You might not be humiliated
but are you really going to tell me the guys in the locker room aren’t humiliated right now? If they aren’t that is a big problem. I do agree with you about the Nets beating Kentucky.

I don't really see how losing to the Nets is any different to the Grizzlies. Since when is losing favorable?

These are kids on this team who think of stupid stuff like that.

I guess getting beat up by your kid sister isn’t humiliating either.

That kind of depends
I have a younger sister, and she’s taller than me and she’s an athlete so she’s in good shape. I’m in good shape too, but she has an athlete’s reflexes. I don’t think I’d be “humiliated” if she beat me up. However, I’d be shocked that we were apparently so immature as to resort to a fight in the first place.

The upside of this loss is it help our draft position
Winning in Bos or Cle negates that. You want to win now. A better draft pick helps us win later. Tough concept?
There is no upside to losing to the worst team in the league!

3rd guard
thats why i think we need a 3rd point guard, because when either reke or beno is injured we only have 1 pg, and we tend to live or die on whether that pg is effective
ex. beno effective vs clippers= WIN
beno semi-ineffective vs nets= LOSS

No I didn't say that.
I said it’s not going to make a difference in the long haul. I’d be very surprised if this team didn’t get a 3rd PG in the off-season. Having said that, I don’t think it makes a difference coming down the stretch of the season. I really don’t. Losing to the Nets sucks today, and maybe tomorrow. Next week, it’ll be some other team they’ll be talking about. Maybe Detroit on Friday.

The team will forget this right after tip off Friday
the next win will permanently erase this and the start of next year will place this so far in the history of these guys that they will have to wait a minute and then nod and finally say “oh yeah, that was bad”.
You have to. Even Tyreke – when interviewed on NBA TV with McHale, C-Webb, Ernie Johnson, and Omri, two months ago, when asked what he liked about the NBA said “we don’t have time to worry, the next game is right away” (I am paraphrasing)
