Right

And you’re someone that jumps on Casspi whenever he doesn’t play well, and is ominously quiet on the topic when he does play well.

And I disagree – If a bunch of people of Israeli heritage or of the Jewish religion feel like giving him a standing ovation, what’s the problem and why does it bother you?

That's subjective. You don't need to think my comments are worthwhile.

another one would be “I don’t like it when Chinese fans almost vote Yi Jianlian as an allstar, either.”

Take them however you want.

but I guess that makes me racist against Chinese people as well..?

You’d have nothing nice to say about him anyway. For some reason, you don’t like Casspi. It’s apparent. And when you intimate that the attention that he is garnering is part of the reason, it smacks of anti-semitism, at least to me.

If anything I think he's too serious sometimes. He just needs to relax. He & JT both suffer from the syndrome.

They both think they’re expected to be All-Stars every night. They’re not close to being an All-Star yet. I think they need to ratchet back their goals.

For that record that includes Omri wanting to represent and being an Israeli god or whatever.

I don’t really care, but I think it’s wearing him down and making him think he has to make every shot and make the great play every time. Go out there and play and ignore that other shit. Sometimes its that simple. JT has the same issue’s, but if you think about it he’s a guy on a mission to prove that guys like him can prove to be high quality NBA players considering how late his growth spurt was and playing in the MAAC.

I am very ignorant,

but I’m not prejudiced against the Jewish people. They’re easily the most persecuted of the main religious groups- massacred in the Crusades, blamed for the Black Death (then massacred), constantly forced to relocate.. I was hearing about the Holocaust yesterday, and the experiments in Auschwitz- it always makes me upset and angry. I’ve cried for the Jews.

If you or anyone else thinks I’m anti-semitic, I’m not the only ignorant person here.

I was going to elaborate on why I dislike how many of Omri’s fans cheer him on incessantly for the sole reason that he is Jewish/Israeli (rather than his merits as a basketball player), but the person below is suggesting I should be banned. That being the general sentiment here, I’ll just leave. Whatever, I absolutely don’t mind.

Omri was cheered by the fans at the IZOD Center tonight because it was the only time they come there. I doubt anybody is following Omri around the country when he plays road games. It’s not like those fans in the Tri-State area will have another chance before next season to cheer Omri. That’s why they did it.

Taking care of a team your supposed to be better than

should be good for a young team. Losing to a team that is historically bad, is not going to be good. We can discuss this all we want, but the fact is the Kings lost and its up to them now to come out with effort and intensity for the rest of the road trip and the season.

Wasn’t it Charlotte that lost every game to them? Plus New Jersey has had a better second half of a season, and they are playing to avoid history, and we are without our best player. I don’t think there is much to take from this one.

I don't know that that is true.

The reality is that the Nets are constantly being talked about as a team that could have broken the record set by the Sixers in 1973. It’s getting a lot of attention, and the Nets getting closer to #9 is a big deal. But, if the Nets win #9 on Friday it will be even a bigger deal.

I think people are vastly underestimating how good professional NBA players are.

For example, if I was given an opportunity to bet on this Nets team vs Kentucky (or whatever Final 4 team you pick) and you put them on the court with this Nets team with NBA rules, I’ll take the Nets every time.

The team will forget this right after tip off Friday

the next win will permanently erase this and the start of next year will place this so far in the history of these guys that they will have to wait a minute and then nod and finally say “oh yeah, that was bad”.

You have to. Even Tyreke – when interviewed on NBA TV with McHale, C-Webb, Ernie Johnson, and Omri, two months ago, when asked what he liked about the NBA said “we don’t have time to worry, the next game is right away” (I am paraphrasing)

Kings lose

That sucks… it may be a tough road trip after all then. Hope they can play better and come back to win some games at home. I’m not getting too caught up in the whole Nets thing; any given team can win any given night in the NBA.

Let’s hope for a better effort when we play the Celts.

Why? We lost one game, I don’t see the big deal?

I would never fault someone for being optimistic

I am more a panic now but be fine tomorrow type of guy. So don’t mind me. This had to be bad for the teams morale more importantly.

I'm not even being optimistic

Didn’t watch the game but looks like a really bad performance by the Kings. It happens, bad teams have horrible games…. we move on. I honestly don’t see the big deal but I’m not going to try to convince you.

Like you said, you’ll be fine tomorrow.

I watched it. The Kings played with effort and tried to win the game. They just didn't hit shots or play well.

I could tell from opening tip they were not going to win. They just didn’t have the appropriate balls out effort they needed to win tonight. The Nets were more desperate and they wanted it.

Sounds about right

Sure looked like a low scoring game for the Kings so shots just weren’t falling. It happens
