Kings Links: Tyreke as LeBron Jr., Crazy Math
- David Thorpe (Insider) suggests Tyreke Evans study tape of LeBron James in order to take the next step. For Omri Casspi, Hedo Turkoglu is the suggested teacher.
- Speaking of Evans, he tells Jason Jones he'll be back in action tomorrow at Boston.
- Kelly Dwyer of Ball Don't Lie mercifully leaves the Kings out of his dispatch on Sacramento-New Jersey.
- Kevin Pelton of Basketball Prospectus provides plans for teams with cap space (ahem) who don't manage to land one of the Big Three.
- DraftExpress continues its series of scouting reports. Virginia's Sylven Landesberg and Avery Bradley of Texas are two of the players in this round.
- A week old, but still great: Henry Abbott reviews the new Berri book Stumbling on Wins.
- Speaking of advanced stats: are some problems too complicated for game theory? If so, doesn't basketball qualify? Regardless, Brian Skinner (not that Brian Skinner) did a great paper along these lines for MIT's Sloan Conference earlier this month.
- Some dudes wore paper bags over their heads at a recent Nets game, and the CEO of the Nets yelled at them. But quick thinking now has the beguiled CEO back in good graces.
- Shaq is in the new Owl City video.

Shaq in that Owl City video is so random.
Also I agree with Thorpe’s recommendations for Omri and Tyreke. They could both learn a lot from those players.
Regarding Free Agency, I’m of the belief that the Kings are going to trade for talent, perhaps another pick in the draft as well, rather than sign a big free agent (although I’m pretty sure they’ll at least try to convince Bosh to come to Sac. Bosh at PF with Landry as his backup? Best 1-2 PF punch in the league.)

I remember years ago when he was in a 311 video
It was such a catch 22 for me because I love the band, but hated him

That band that sounds exactly like Death Cab for Cutie

Except not as talented

But then the winter came, and the grasshopper died, and the octopus ate all his acorns. Also he got a race car. Is any of this getting through to you?"
i would say that band sounds more like the postal service
but i get the feeling that is pretty much the exact same thing just with more computer noises
Could some of you maybe use a condom once in a while?

I submit to you again
to call this feature “LinKings”. I’ve never met a pun I don’t like.

Have you ever read my work?
How did I possibly end up on the front page if you hate puns?!
Never forget: I am a complete idiot
Probably makes an exception in your case.

No mistakes in the tango, Donna. Not like life. Simple. That's what makes the tango so great. If you make a mistake, and get all tangled up, you just tango on.....
How can a pundit hate puns?
I guess though humorous they can be a bit pedantic in the perusing of profane possibilities, but to say you don’t like play on words, the quip, the double entendre, the witticism, the paronomasia, or the equivoque that is so fun in a pun when making less than profound premises is quite a statement as they are often the cornerstones for the panorama of opining we so enjoy in StR posts.
Shaq, owl city, and 'the rapture'.......
ALL huge piles of bullshit!
Yep
And “Black hole Sun” is a MUCH better vid about the rapture anyway. Owl city=wuss rock owlshit.
Is that what Black Hole Sun was about?
I thought it was a song about Amare.
