Wes Johnson would be crazy not to come out this year
He’s likely a top 6 pick, and the new CBA is going to cut salaries across the board for everyone, so even if he went #1 next year, he’d likely make less than if he was drafted at #6 this year.
Grandmaster of the "Never let AnotherStupidSN forget what a Sham-Wow is" Order and Originator of the "Brock Ness Monster".
He is also old for his draft class
Another year in college might make scouts think he is close to reaching his potential.
I agree with you point about the new CBA. I don’t remember where, but there was an article out saying that coming out next year would be risky for prospects because if there is a lockout, then those drafted would not get paid until an agreement is reached. Unlike veterans, the draftees wouldn’t have money to fall back on.
he is feeling that he had an oppurtunity slip away and wants it back
The draft commitment date is in June – for a top flight NBA prospect that is a long time to think about it and make a better informed decision. Of course it makes more sense from a financial stand point to come out this year. Therefore, he will.
I am glad Tyreke is following the conservative advice of the medical staff but I am worried about his health. Hope he is alright (but can still go to his left).
Latavious Williams has a tough road to hoe – but he is doing it. Hats off and bon chance to him. I can’t help but be a little worried about a guy who couldn’t finagle (I use the term to be polite) a way for Calipari to get him to be a Memphis Tiger. Let’s ask Joey Dorsey about that. (No way he gets into Kentucky, and I don’t know if the new Memphis head coach is more or less slick than Coach Cal)

Wesley Johnson will be 23
by the time the draft happens this year, He’s already pretty much whatever he’s going to be potentially. I can’t see him waiting a year, when he’ll be 24. That’s practically ancient in draft terms.
